Great property with extra land that is a small public park unknown to most. The deer love to race through! It goes up to the edge/bluff of LI Sound. Nicely furnished with an artistic flair. Would definitely rent again. Thank you Marilyn!
Location was great, the back yard was amazing, we watch the sunset everyday. Kitchen well equipped. The property manager was very attentive & helpful. We hope to comeback next summer!
An absolutely wonderful choice if you are looking for a premier spot to stay in one of the coolest towns there is. As soon as you walk through the front door you are transported to what feels like an English cottage – light, bright and airy. Look outside the back door to the manicured gardens full of peonies and other flowers. To the west, a small public park that you would never know was public (I do not even think the locals know it is there for their use); it truly felt like an extension of the yard. Walk up the lawn of the park to the benches overlooking the beach to see some of the most incredible pastel-filled sunset skies. We were lucky to catch several of them during our stay. We enjoyed a few nights al fresco dining on the patio surrounded by the blooming flowers in the gardens with wine we just bought at whatever vineyard(s) we visited that day. It would behoove me to mention the herd of deer that live in the area. Almost any time of day we would catch them grazing in the field out back or laying in the park on a hot day. We could be in the yard, and they would be but 50 feet away. The open living room/dining room floorplan was the perfect size to host small gatherings of family and friends that we had not seen in over a year. All who joined us absolutely loved the location, the house, and the property. You can tell the owners take pride in their home and I thank them for their willingness to share it with us. Last but certainly not least, Marilyn, who manages the property and is also the Innkeeper at a bed and breakfast a few short miles away is a gem in her own right. Responsive, kind, and diligent – she made communication a breeze and was always available for text or talk – even after we checked out! Overall, my wife and I could not be happier with our stay and are already discussing plans for our next trip.
The house is next door to a tiny public park making it feel like it’s part of the property. The park backs up to the sound so you’re the first house to the LI sound making it spectacular as far as location is concerned. Sunsets over the sounds are magnificent and you have a perfect view. The house itself backs up to Kontakosta Vineyard which is our favorite wine on the North Fork. The house is well appointed and very cozy. Property manager was super responsive and checking in was as smooth as can be! Would love to come back .
Ideal location, steps from beach, quiet, beautifully furnished, lovely inside and out!
What a wonderful place this is! A well-maintained, clean and welcoming property right next to the water. Great location. The house is at the end of a very quiet road, with off-street parking, and next to a small park with awesome cliff-top views overlooking the water. The house itself is traditional in style which was really attractive. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable and the kitchen and living areas were warm and welcoming places to unwind and relax in front of a lovely old fireplace. We even saw a family of deer roaming the park and nearby field and they wandered into the garden. From the house, we were only a few minutes walk down to 67 Steps Beach. What a view! You get a real appreciation for the local area and what draws visitors here. Also, we found a great little fresh seafood store and restaurant for lunch at nearby Southold Fish Market. We had a wonderfully relaxing time in Greenport West and absolutely recommend vacationing here.
This is a beautiful, stylish home in a FANTASTIC location! The house is renovated and has comfy, cool furniture - the overall vibe is friendly and cozy yet modern. Everything is very nice and new, very clean. But wow, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! The house is at the end of a little road and next to a park and a vineyard, so it is very peaceful and surrounded by nature. The stairs to the beach are practically at the end of the driveway, so it is very convenient to get to the water. You can also bike or walk to town (a bit of a walk when it's hot). Also a fantastic view of the water from the park next door, almost like a private park! The house has a full dining area and comfy living area with a little nook, so there is plenty of seating. Also a nice backyard and patio with a grill and shower. Half bath downstairs is convenient. Upstairs are two regular bedrooms with good mattresses and then a kids' room with three beds. Plenty of room for a family and friends! I would definitely stay here again! It makes a very easy, relaxed holiday, especially if you want to cook/grill and hang out indoors and out. Love it!!!
Perfect getaway from Brooklyn heat and fast pace. The house is perfect for hanging out at the beach without dragging the cooler and then pop back to the house to grab a drink and food. My family and I were so comfortable it felt like home. The house is perfectly decorated the owners took great effort in the furnishings, decorations and utilities. We loved the beach steps away and we love Greenport town for dining and biking around the quaint town. Wineries are nearby, Orient Point is close by and fresh produce is everywhere. There's a choice or rock or sand beach and the swimming is great. We will definitely return to this beautiful place.
We had an amazing two weeks in this beautiful home. This charming house is well appointed and has everything you need for your vacation. The pictures don't do this place justice. We were pleasantly surprised to find the most perfect beach on the LI sound. Quiet and beautiful with amazing sunsets. This is the antidote to the crowded Hamptons. The property is located steps away from this beach, right next to a park and behind a vineyard so you are surrounded by nature. We loved this home and will definitely stay here again!
Stunning location right on the sound. House was well equipped, cozy and comfortable with lots of light. Everything was well coordinated and seamless. Would definitely stay again.
