Great Northern Mountain Escape

Big Mountain Retreat is a beautiful home with excellent amenities and fantastic outdoor space. It's clean, well furnished and beautifully designed! I highly recommend it.

Our family had a great time in the Whitefish house. The house was great for all of us and having bathrooms with all the bedrooms including the bunkrooms was wonderful and convenient. All our family enjoy cooking so the kitchen was really good for us. Lots to do around Whitefish including Glacier. Peace and quiet, but still lots to do. Our family includes ages 18-83. Patti. What ana amazing home for a family retreat! With 8 adults and 1 baby we had plenty of room and the house was very well equipped!! The managment company was fabulous and helped us with several reservations and setting up a private chef for one night!! W

This house has everything! It was gorgeous, clean and spacious. Very well suited for the three families that stayed there, each having their own private living area when needed. We spent most of our time outside on the patio. Kitchen was well stocked for dining in. We had a lot of fun cooking and dining on the patio after a long day of hiking in the park.

Great location. Very close to the slopes. House is amazing and new. kitchen was great. I understood from our host that there are big plans for this house, and I am certain it will be high in demand as they continue to build the venue for bigger and greater events. The design details are incredible, very well done and high end. We really appreciated the owners and land management team; they helped us with all our needs for the stay. The host told us to keep a lookout for elk, you wonder if they are just telling you that to get you excited. Well, we did get a look at a group of them sneaking through the woods by the house. There were lots of deer as well. We really enjoyed our stay. We also really enjoyed Whitefish Mountain Resort, Wow!

This Christmas, we brought together three generations from 4 different states to celebrate the holiday. This property was marvelous! We cooked several meals in the fully stocked gourmet kitchen, played pool and ping pong and made drinks in the game room/bar, worked our way through a jigsaw puzzle in the dining room, played video games in the loft living room and enjoyed time outdoors in the hot tub and around the main deck fire pit. It was so nice to have a space large enough to comfortably accommodate our extended family, but still be able to retire to our own private spaces in the evenings. The property itself is also unlike any other place we have ever rented in Whitefish. While only a few minutes from town, and a few minutes to the ski resort, you feel as though you are totally secluded on the mountain! There is not a single house visible from this property; When you look out the windows you see the lake, the trees, the stars and the twinkling lights of downtown Whitefish in the near distance. We saw a herd of about 40 elk crossing the property, and several deer! This is a magical place, we will be back!

Hosted our executive team retreat here and it worked out even better than we had hoped! The great room had plenty of seating (20 in attendance) and created a warm and inviting environment for our meetings and round table discussions. We held breakfasts and lunches on site, and the kitchen easily accommodated the needs of our large group. It is the best stocked kitchen I have ever seen in a vacation rental home, it had everything we needed to prepare meals for our large group. The fridge has a very large capacity, we were able to store 4 days worth of food in there for our group with no problem! The game room and bar were also a huge hit! We played pool, ping pong and cards, and had a football game going on the large screen TV. The large leather sectional couch in that room also served as a secondary meeting space for us when we needed to peel off a smaller group of 9 of us for a more intimate meeting. Everyone raved about the comfort of their beds and accommodations throughout the house. Our event was a success all the way around and we are already talking about when we will come back and do it again! Highly recommend this property if you are thinking about hosting a large group event!

This home is fabulous. It’s a peaceful mountain getaway and all of the amenities were top notch! The kitchen is beautiful and fully equipped with every imaginable appliance one could possibly need to cook. The bedrooms are stunning and cozy and the view from every room is nothing short of magical. There are so many wonderful little touches like specialty soaps, cozy pillows and bedding, robes, slippers not to mention private en suite rooms for all the guests. The deck overlooking Whitefish lake is the perfect place to spend your evenings grilling and enjoying the spectacular views with friends and family. We have stayed many times on Big mountain, but this home far and away exceeded all our expectations! We will be back again! We highly recommend this property!

Jessica and her husband were so helpful. The property was beautiful and I’m sure it will be even more fabulous when it’s completed. It was the perfect getaway for our wedding!

An extraordinarily beautiful and spacious home. Easily accommodated our multiple families. The kitchen is terrific and the master BR suite was great. The deck is huge with a view of the trees and the lake behind them. The home is newly constructed. I would say the front steps and front deck (low level) need handrails and railing respectively. I would recommend this home for any large group.Jessica is very nice and easy to work with.

Hidden gem with marine the most well supplied rental house of all time. I won’t be staying anywhere else in whitefish ever again
