Great house just a couple minutes walk to beach!

Management was quick to respond to a few questions prior to stay. Short walk on a quiet, dead end street to the boardwalk to the beach. Quaint beach community with 2 pools if you need a break from beaching. House was equipped with bedrooms for adults and children. There was a closet filled with everything needed for the beach.

There was plenty of space for 9 guests and the kitchen was well stocked for a group that likes to cook all of their meals. Our only complaint is how the floors felt dirty from the time we stepped inside. I understand being at the beach makes it hard but we are pretty mindful of rinsing off before coming inside. And dirty floors can really make you feel uncomfortable.

The master bedroom and bunk room were upstairs, and each had their own bathroom. The other 2 rooms were downstairs with 1 bathroom. The rental was roomy and we never felt cramped. The beach access was easy. There were 2 locations to each side of the rental to gain access to the beach. We were also very close to the Fort (which you should tour) and several restaurants. We ate at Tacky Jacks for lunch. It was good! We never had to travel more than a few minutes for food or a store. The washer and dryer were downstairs, and that room also had access to the outside. The property manager was super nice. She stopped to say hi and replied promptly when I had a question. I would definitely stay here again.

The description of the house was accurate and had everything that we needed for the week. The property manager texted me to let me know that she was ready to help when and if needed. We enjoyed visiting the Naval Museum in Pensecola, FL one day and a great Mexican restaurant, Agave, in town for lunch another day. We will definitely be back!

Reviewer Comments: We were evacuated from our usual vacation spot in Cape San Blas, FL, a day before Hurricane Helene was due to make landfall. We drove over to Fort Morgan, AL and found this house at the last minute. Although we are accustomed to staying Gulf Front, this 2nd tier home was very nice. My only complaint would be the floors. They were dirty when we got there and needed a good mopping. We all removed our shoes when we went in, and I'm not talking about sand. That's normal. But everyone's feet were black on the bottoms within just a short time of walking on them. Other than that, everything was clean and in great shape. The kitchen was very well equipped.

Pet friendly, pools for beach alternative for the kids, short walk to the beach. House was great. All the kitchen necessities plus more. Wagon to trek to the beach and outside show and hose. Downstairs laundry with under-house access was great.

The house was very nice and well kept. My husband and I stayed there with our son, his wife and our 6 grandkids, ages 6 - 17. We had plenty of beds. It’s a little walk to the beach but not terrible. Even though it says things should be removed from the beach by 8pm, did not adhere to that rule. One complaint, not about the house but when we went to the bigger pool on Monday and Tuesday. No one had cleaned the pool. There were lots of bugs and junk in it. If there would have been a net, I would have used it. Overall, it is a nice place.

The house was spacious enough to hold all 13 of us however the bunk room mattresses were very thin and would be more appropriate for small children rather than the adult teenagers we had. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to cook with as well as a Keurig and a drip coffeemaker. The front porch is big and has plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the small view of the ocean. Across the street and about 5 houses down from the beach, the walk was not bad at all. The only complaint was that the previous tenants must have had a cat because the chair in the living room. Overall, we enjoyed our long weekend at Mer Sea.
