Stayed Apr 20, 2025We enjoyed listening to the old record player, dressing up in retro gear, reading old comics and playing games from our childhood in the lounge that felt so familiar and homely. We slept well and the comfy beds. A lovely place to stay!

Stayed Jan 24, 2025We had the best stay at Grandads! The house was spotless, cosy, homely and comfortable and the hot tub divine! The retro aspects of the home brought heaps of fun and joy and I loved enjoying the record player! All the specials touches and attention to detail from the host was much appreciated and I would love to come back again soon! Highly recommended!!

Stayed Jan 12, 2025I can’t get past the disappointment of not being able use the advertised hot tub which was green and swamp smelling. And the disappointment that the owner/manager has still not replied to my private message to him about this. The main reason we chose this house.

Stayed May 20, 2024@ 4pm, after a challenging journey there, when the promised lockbox code had not arrived, we called the owner to learn that the property was occupied, as he had cross listed it with another website. He apologised profusely and promptly returned our funds. That was cold comfort in wretched weather in an unfamiliar location as darkness descended.
