Great for accommodating large groups, plenty of space and beds. Great location, easy to get to. We had a fantastic stay overall. My only issue was the the cleanliness. The hot tub had a ring of yellowish foam around it and went unused because of this. There might be 100+ moths in the kitchen light, dirty floors, and the doors to the deck have seen much…much better days.
Generally this property is great for a large group unless you are planning to cook a lot of meals. The good news is there are plenty of beds and areas for kids and adults. The bad news is that the place overall needs a real rehab. All screen doors were broken/ripped. The garage where the trash goes made the entire basement area smell. The refrigerators were filthy and had to be cleaned by us. The cabinets were all sticky with drips of food. The dishwasher is falling out of the space. The main fridge was full of expired food. But the bedrooms were fine and the bathrooms clean. The owner was not responsive to requests for entry instructions and had to go to VRBO directly to get address and entry code. Finally instructions arrived one day before getting there. When I told him about the kitchen he denied that it was not clean but it was not clean. If you have a large group stay here but be prepared to clean it some before meal prep and cooking.
This house has so much potential--it has plenty of space for a large family gathering with lots of kitchen dishes and pots and pans; however it was not as clean as we expected since a hefty cleaning fee is applied to all rentals. It is also in need of many maintenance issues--makes us wonder if the owners have checked on it in a long time. Good location between Fraser and Grand Lake and near the YMCA camp.
It was large enough for four families with kids. The kitchen had plenty of room and utensils in order to prepare food for our whole group. Big table was used for eating and big card games. There were plenty of beds for our group of 17. There were still beds unused. We enjoyed our stay!
Stayed for 5 days. The location is amazing. We were in the middle of Granby (grocery store), Kemmering (river-rafting), Winter Park (summer all-day pass), Grand Lake, and RMNP. The beds all had sheets when we got there, everything was clean, and we had ample space for sleeping. The two fridges were helpful, the hot tub was lovely. We also had everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking. The living area was great for hanging out and playing games. I didn’t have any troubles with wireless through most of the house. My biggest suggestion would be getting the sliding doors on the kitchen and living room corner up to par. It was a booger to get them open and closed. I don’t know if that requires an update or a whole new concept like French doors.
I rented this house for a 30th birthday get away. It was the perfect size for the amount of people that joined us we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. I would highly recommend for larger groups. The view was gorgeous, we spent most of our time sitting around the fire pit enjoying the Colorado sunset!
We really enjoyed our stay! Plenty of room. But it didn’t have the foosball table like in the listing.
Property 708419 We were extremely disappointed with the cabin that we rented. We are not sure if you are aware of the condition of the cabin. The main floor bathroom is filthy. There was hair in the bathtub, sum in the corner of the floors and the toilet looks like it had not been clean for some time. It looked like under each bed had not been cleaned for some time as well. One of them had hair ties, tweezers, a lighter, a pair of glasses, toys and the amount of dust that could be seen on the carpet. The downstairs game room couches had mice feces under the cushions along with dirt and trash. The floors downstairs looked like they haven’t been vacuumed in a while either. We also found an unused diaper in one of the bunk beds downstairs, which shows that the bedding had not been washed. There was old trash/food in cabinet where the trash cans go, and old food pieces, mice feces, etc in every drawer that held utensils/dishes. If they have a crew coming in to clean, they should be fired. I can send pictures if you wish. We have been coming to the Granby area for many years and have rented several cabins using VRBO and this one, was by far the filthiest cabin we have stayed in. For the amount paid to stay there, we don’t need much but clean is something we do expect when we rent. We leave everything in the same condition, and most of the time better than when we get there. I hope you will take these things into consideration. Linda F
The place was nice and a good fit for our group, plenty of room for everyone. I do wish it was a little cleaner but it was comfy and had plenty of dishes, beds, towels, blankets, etc. Check in was super easy and had no major issues. Would probably rent again!
We had a retreat for those in our organization who live and work in Colorado. The Winter Park Highlands was spacious enough for our whole group to gather. While 13 stayed on the property and 3 commuted locally, we all could gather in the spacious room and have meals together. Ideal setting for a retreat.
This property needs a ton of upgrading and repair. First, I would fire the cleaning crew as the entire property is filthy. Even when they came out at our request they didn't want to do much of anything. But the property is in very poor repair. This dishwasher is falling out of the opening, the screen doors are torn and don't slide, the deck and railings are in poor condition, the furniture and rug in the living room all need to be replaced (in addition to being filthy), the ice and water dispenser on the refrigerator is falling off, the microwave is held together with duct tape, etc. etc.
Easy check in and check out. It’s about 15/20 mins outside grand lake. We had a fun weekend at the house with 17 people.
Very comfortable cabin that accommodated our family of ten people easily. Lots of beds, towels, kitchen appliances, etc. Wonderful location with lots to do.
Great classic chalet with plenty of space and wonderful mountain views! Our group of 13 had tons of room to spread out. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and relaxing in the hot tub. The location is perfectly situated between Winter Park/Fraser and Granby/Grand Lake, so there plenty of options for activities within a 15 minute drive of the property!
