Cottage is lovely. Lots of steps to beach but well worth it. Im 75 and went to beach twice daily. We love Lake Michigan
Very clean house with plenty of cooking utensils and spices. Lots of available beach accessories, with beautiful uncrowded beach. Great for a family vacation.
House is very nice, well appointed, plenty of dishes, silverware, utensils, towels, bedding, beach chairs. Lots of books. Nice to have two seating areas. Does not have enough dining chairs for over 6, except outside or counter height. Upstairs is very nice, but open to downstairs, limits privacy and quiet. LOTS of stairs to get in/out. LOTS of stairs to the beach (85). Pictures make beach look much closer than it is. Beautiful beach! Excellent deck with grill and huge dining table. No outdoor cover, for rain. Kids loved the secret room play space! Would be nice to have bathroom in lower level, since it sleeps 3. There was not much room for guest food as cupboards were filled with owners food. Has a regular coffee machine and keurig style. We'd definitely rent again! Just not with our olders.
House is located right on the beach with private frontage. Big beach area with a fire pit for evening campfires. Note that there is a lot of stairs down to the beach. House has a big back deck that allows for outside enjoyment of meals and games. Updated kitchen with all the amenities. Sleeps 10 comfortably. Had a water pressure problem when we rented but was told its being addressed. We enjoyed our stay.
Open space for socializing, ping pong table was fun, bon fire pit and great beach.
Lovely views, very peaceful getaway, remote/ rural but near enough to quaint small boating town. Good location for day trips to see lighthouses (Luddington ~ 1 hour away). Beach sand is soft and connects to other lakefront beaches so can go for a nice walk. There is a substantial amount of beach to enjoy - pleasantly surprised ! The Sea grass that surrounds the beach is beautiful and just adds to a coastal feel and the color of the lake during the day and sunset was simply beautiful. The fire pit on the beach made it so enjoyable and easy to enjoy a beach fire. It is easy to see that the owners have made every effort to supply the needs of the visitor.
We had a great stay! The cottage is perfect for a single or 2 small families and still has a really nice beachfront, despite the high water levels.
Beautiful home with a great location and beautiful beach! Family came from Virginia and Arizona. Great family time together! Hope to come back next year!
Sunsets were a daily treat here! From the house, lower deck and of course the beach, always a great view of the water and sunsets. House sleeps more than the listing showed. We had lots of fun and would definitely go back.
This home, property, and private beach are simply wonderful! The home was immaculate with tasteful decor, comfortable beds, and enough space for a large family. The house was stocked with all the essentials (towels, beach towels, chairs, linens, spices, pans, dishes, etc.); Additionally, the house was stocked with fun things for the whole family (games, beach toys, floats, kayak, ping pong table, fire pit, marshmallow skewers, etc.) There is plenty of space in the home-we had 5 adults and 4 children and never felt like we were on top of each other. The stairs to the beach (81 to be exact!) are quite a workout, but well worth it! Sunsets were amazing. The sandy beach was perfect for our kids-shallow enough for quite a ways that even our 2 year old could safely enjoy it. It's also completely private, which was amazing! I think we saw a total of 6 people in the distance the whole week! We had such a memorable week at this property, that we hope to return in the future. Certainly any time we travel to Michigan, which is quite a haul since we are coming from Maine. If we lived closer, I would feel confident booking for next summer already, but sadly it will probably be a couple years before we are able to return. Thanks Brian for opening this beautiful, special place on Lake Michigan for others to enjoy and relax!
