What a great location right on the Lake. Add in a pool that is really usable and this is a unique property. Very comfortable for guests. Could use an update but it all works.
We had the most wonderful weekend in this home! The location can’t be beat. It is right on Lake Michigan with a private beach, which is clean and beautiful. It’s surrounded by trees so you feel a million miles away from home, and get to see water peeking through from the windows and pool deck. The pool was clean and heated. It’s a 25 minute walk/3 minute drive or bike to Union Pier Farmer’s market, shops, and restaurants. Carie was responsive and addressed questions. The pool deck and floors in the house had been recently redone. The furniture isn’t extremely high end, I.e. nightstands, beds, but it was all comfortable. Same with the kitchen. Not high end appliances, but everything worked. I would come back in a heartbeat. One warning if you have little kids (which I do not): there are no shades/window treatments, so naps/early mornings/bedtimes may be challenging. I have teenagers for whom this wasn’t an issue. I like to sleep in pitch dark but just wore a sleep mask, like I always do, and it wasn’t a big deal. All in all, a great home. I wish I could spend every weekend there!
Loved having a private beach with minimal people and sunsets were amazing , kids loved the pool.
We enjoyed this place and the stay very much. Our hosts, especially Ben, were terrific and responded very quickly to some minor first of visit requests. We do think the property shows wear and needs painting and wood work. The pool and beach, location and general setting were all very, very good.
Beautiful lake views, lovely sunsets, amazing pool and deck. Great space to relax, enjoy family meals and enjoy nature.
Very busy season here meant very few rentals of this quality available and I was extremely fortunate to have found this stellar property...and with a pool that this client required!!! Carie the property manager was so helpful and made the experience easy and pleasant. It was such a cool place for the man I assisted and his friends that visited him there. He loved every minute on the property. Thank you so much!!! Looking 4 a repeat visit one day!!!
The place is nicely located with all the major amenities you will need to have an enjoyable stay in this part of the state. Cons are the home, furniture, and appliances are dated/cheap and need to be maintained better. The entire perimeter of the home had cobwebs and debris. The inside had untreated dust and dirt which is a gripe with the cleaning service employed more than anything. Carie was promptly responsive and helpful before during and after our stay. Steps down to the beach are a pain and the trees surrounding property nearly eliminate any lake view.
On the picture looks nice but that house needs Lots of work, by the pool you cant walk deck its falling a part From upstairs master bedroom you cant go on the deck falling a part all the railings rotten They should lock the doors its really dangerous
We rented this home because we were looking for a pool and close access to the beach which it definitely provides! Beach is 132-step walk so keep that in mind if stairs are difficult. Upon arrival we were surprised that there was no hand soap in the entire house and we didn't have enough towels to accommodate the number of people the house sleeps. I contacted the property manager and she resolved the issue quickly. However, we continued to find that there was a lack of amenities --- they have a rule of no glass by the pool (which I completely understand!) but there weren't any plastic cups in the kitchen, no pool floats or toys, and only two beach chairs. This is a rental where you are required to wash all towels before check-out. The property manager was very brief when I mentioned that there was no laundry detergent - we do not provide. I find that extremely strange when the guests are expected to wash the towels for the rental!
I would recommend this home to my family, friends and people I don't even know. One of the nicest beaches in Michigan. Loved the heated pool, screened porch and the cleanliness of the home. The home is a lot larger then expected. Wish we could stay all summer. Loved all the little shops and restaurants the little towns offer.
