A contemporary gem perched up on the bluffs of Port Angeles, this peaceful, single-story home enjoys breathtaking views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Vancouver Island across the water, and spectacular nightly sunsets.

You'll find this tranquil home on a wooded, 10-acre parcel on the Olympic Peninsula, where it sits among tall Douglas firs within earshot of the ocean. Rise early each morning to brew your coffee, and look for passing whales in the distance. The area is ripe for exploring, with downtown Port Angeles, the ferry to Victoria, and Olympic National Park all within 10 miles. Lake Crescent (21 miles) and Sol Duc Falls (41 miles) make wonderful day trips as well.

The magic of stepping inside this home is in the generous windows that fill the rooms with light. Enjoy an open floor plan overlooking the ocean, vaulted ceilings that provide warmth and ambience, and new modern furnishings at every turn. At the heart of the home is a well-appointed kitchen, offering stainless steel appliances, a spacious island, and direct access to the deck.

Spend your evenings playing board games at the dining room table, reading in the living room, or retreating to the den/office to watch DVDs or log onto the complimentary WiFi. Three comfortable bedrooms (including a primary suite), a laundry room, and central air conditioning are provided as well.

Gorgeous home! Wonderful location! Everything was very clean and the house was well stocked. One of our favorite things to do when we were at the house was watch the cruise ships come and go. Visiting nearby Elwha Beach was a very close second. Even though I give this home a top rating, there were two things that could use improvement. The bedsheets are very scratchy. I’m not a picky person about sheets but these were not good even by my low standards. And upon arrival late at night the front door was unlocked and not pulled completely shut. We had to hurry the kids back to the car while my husband did a walk through to make sure no one was in the house. It was a bit scary to show up to an unlocked house considering it was very dark and there are no neighbors close by. But aside from those two issues we loved this house and would definitely stay again.

The views were truly amazing and the driveway was better than the views in most hikes. Disappointments were it is advertised in the main heading as having a walk to the beach. We looked for one and could not find it. I emailed the host and they said you had to drive to some public beach access. That was misleading. Also, the wifi was weak and had to be reset multiple times. Otherwise it is a great place to get away from it all.

The house itself was very nice--clean, well maintained. The beach in not just a short walk away as is implied in the listing. Questions asked at the time of booking were never answered. Communication about how to enter the home at check in was not consistent.

The views were absolutely incredible and it was fun watching the deer making their daily rounds on the property. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. :)

Home has potential to be amazing. Home is very sterile and lacks personality. Owner doesn’t use the VRBO process/inbox, even when specifically asked. Instead they want you to install a separate app for communications; very odd - sketchy - as VRBO even warns customers on communications/arrangements made outside the VRBO app. Check-in was flawed; was not provided the correct information for the lockbox. We had to remove fallen trees from the VERY remote/dirt driveway to access the property. Kitchen is stocked with thrift store items, and like items (towels, bowls, utensils) were in several drawers instead of organized together. “Walk to the beach” should be listed as “hike to the beach.” Again, home has potential — just wasn’t right at this time.

This home was absolutely perfect for an Olympic National Park exploration base camp. Plenty of room and privacy for all of us and incredible views from almost every room.

Gorgeous home and beautiful setting overlooking the water. So nice to be tucked away in the forest but still so close to town to easily go to Olympic or grab dinner. We watched deer graze in the front yard, and listened to the sound of the waves break through the back windows. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

The house itself is beautiful and has a lovely view of the sunset over the water in the evening. The kitchen has most of the basic supplies. Towels, linens, and basic toiletries are provided. The checkout process is simple and quick. The house was mostly clean, with a few pieces of garbage on the floor in areas that were not immediately obvious. One of the rooms does not have curtains or blinds. Communication with the host was okay. It would take some time to receive responses and, on one occasion, the response was unrelated to the question I asked. Once I called customer service, communication improved and was faster. The house was convenient to Olympic National Park and access instructions were clear once I received them. Overall, I think the house has a lot to recommend it and was generally comfortable but there is some room for improvement.

This home was perfect for our family! The views are amazing! We enjoyed watching the boats, listening to the waves crash on shore while falling asleep, and seeing all the deer! The property is close to Olympic National Park and to all the restaurants on Port Angeles. Amazing house!

Wonderful accommodations, however the shrubbery should be trimmed on back deck so we can see the ocean. Drapes covering deck bedroom windows would be a plus
