Walk or cycle along the dike towards Harlingen, with views of the Wadden Sea on one side and views of a wide hilly landscape with authentic farms on the other. Harlingen is a picturesque harbor town, enjoy a day at the beach here, do some shopping and visit the town hall, the lighthouse and the Zuiderhaven marina. From Harlingen you can take the ferry to the islands of Terschelling and Vlieland. Visit the historical center and planetarium in Franeker. Don't feel like cooking Opposite the park is the restaurant Het Wapen van Barradeel, where you can have lunch or dinner.
