Gorgeous beachfront view house, close to Gearhart main street

The pictures don't show the upgrades in furniture. I was surprised to see the spotless couch and comfy clean side chairs in the living room. The carpet looked new also and was immaculate. Beds were comfortable and views were spectacular. I have never rented a home that was so generous with the dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, garbage bags, toilet paper and wood for huge fireplace. All were Costco size and full. No need to run to store for anything even dishwasher soap and laundry detergent. This may sound trivial to some but I am always flabbergasted when staying for 7 nights and get 3 days worth of supplies. There are lots of kitchen supplies but I brought my own extra large pots and an electric griddle which I used everyday because no restaurant could beat the view of the ocean and there were 10 of us. There is a lot of the owners things there lke coats shoes and drawers full of their personal stuff. It didn't bother us at all and I actually found it refreshing that they trusted strangers in their home and didn't feel the need to lock everything up. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again.

As always we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great beach walks in all sorts of weather from sunshine to gale force winds, then relaxing in front of a wood fire in the evenings.

We had a wonderful time. Everything was clean. Easy to get a hold of someone. Entry was easy. If you love that old house feel and looking for good family time. This is a great stay. It was a much fun, the house is perfect for beach time and cooking family dinners , there was way more than we thought available for use including a crock pot!! Loved it!

This is an older cottage that checks a lot of boxes for a larger group or family. The beach is about 0.3 miles fro the house. The only complaint from our group was the size of the TV...it could have been bigger. Otherwise it was comfortable and clean. Bonus: It has a Tesla charger in the garage.

Cozy atmosphere.

The house was big and comfortable! We loved the back porch and sat there bird watching and enjoying our morning coffee! The house was perfect for us and we hope to stay again next year!

This place was spectacular! Host was easy to connect with. House was easy to find. Check in was a breeze. So was signing onto wi-fi altho service was spotty. Kitchen is quirkily appointed but we found nearly everything we needed for some complicated meals. The best part of it was the large gathering spaces - both inside and out! And the fantastic view of beautiful beaches we could walk to in a matter of minutes. Perfect for our gathering of far-flung siblings, five of us in all.

What a jewel in a beautiful neighborhood. Right on the gorgeous Oregon coast. This is a family home with a retro look and feel. It was quite comfortable for all seven of us, including my 2 year old grand daughter. We loved the big fire place and played games in front of it each night. One of my happiest family trips ever! Gearheart is a quiet beach town. If you want more action, Canon Beach is a short drive away.

The house has a lot of charm and character. It is older and the walk to the beach was a little longer than we thought. But we had an incredible time and the house had everything we could have needed.

The perfect size house for our group. Everyone had their own space, common areas were comfy. Very relaxing. My favorite spot was the sun porch with its amazing views. Easy walk to and along the beach. Short drive to Seaside. It was lovely going to sleep to the sound of the ocean. Will definitely stay there again when in the area.

A lovely old house with lots of character on the sandy Gearhart beach and close to the charming village. We have stayed here multiple times and hope to again. The owners are a pleasure to deal with.

This is a lovely beach home with a view of the coast. It has everything one could hope for in a beach house--games, books, music, and lots of spots to relax.

WE LOVED THE 1950'S DECOR BUT THE REAL STAR OF THE HOUSE IS THE VIEW OF THE OCEAN!

We were 3 couples who live on a golf course and play golf and cards together. This house was perfect for that. The views and the sunsets were unsurpassed. The kitchen and the dining room were well stocked except the oven could use cleaning. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of fluffy towels. The house is large and full of history.......if only walls could talk. I hope that we get an opportunity to rent it again.

Marcia's spot was awesome for a post Hood to Coast relaxing weekend to eat and catch up on some much needed sleep!

My 5 sisters and I enjoyed staying in this spacious cottage by the sea. We were very surprised at how much room the house had! The views from the house were amazing and offered us beautiful sunrises and sunsets each day. The host was wonderful to work with and answered all of our questions, promptly. It is easy to get to and in a great location for touring near by towns. We loved our stay and we're looking forward to coming back!

Home is good size for a group. Lots of room to navigate. Beds comfy, retro kitchen is fun, easy walk to the beach through grass. Would stay again! Thank you for opening your home to us!

This was the perfect house for our group of seven people. I like being out of the busy Seaside area and in a quieter neighborhood. There was construction going on next door, but we were usually gone most of the day so it didn’t really bother us. We had everything we needed for a nice stay.

Great neighborhood, loved the coffee/bakery/gift shop. The house was big and quirky in places. Our Grandkids loved it. We went to the beach everyday and our dogs loved it, so beautiful. The beach was about 3 blocks away straight out from the house.

Pros: The house is in a beautiful location with a great view of the ocean and a nice path down to the beach. There was plenty of room for our group of seven. Marcia was great about keeping in touch and answering questions--including specifying that there's a Tesla EV charger onsite that can be used by non-Tesla cars, as long as you have an adapter. Cons: The house and some of the small appliances are showing their age. For reasons unexplained, we were required to wait till we actually arrived at the house to receive check-in information.

Fantastic view from the sunroom, nice open living room, and dining room. The Home is in a great location, and quiet area. However, the sofa in the sunroom was dirty, and had a stain that was uninviting, so we did not sit on it. The two chairs in the living room had old blankets over them, and below them were holy chairs. We put a quilt over the sofa in the living room, as it was dirty, and odorous. The kitchen needs some updated appliances, like a newer coffee pot, toaster, and pots and pans that aren't rusty. We found dirty pans in the cupboard we had to wash before using. The bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs were nice, with nice views. We would consider staying again, if these things were addressed. Overall we had a nice stay at the property. Thank you.

We had a siblings Reunion at Marcia‘s place. It was fabulous with plenty of room for everyone. We got to see six huge elk the last morning of our visit. Also, a couple of whales breaching out in the water. We saw some whale spouts as well. It’s a short walk into town, and about a 10 minute walk down to the water. We all agreed, that we have never stayed at a place that was so well stocked. I highly recommend this house for a wonderful vacation!
