Stayed Oct 22, 2025The place was really nice and clean. Check in was simple. It was less then mile from our beach fishing camp. Beds really comfortable. Will definitely be back next year.

Stayed Jul 14, 2025My husband & I just wanted a quick getaway & to bring home some gulf shrimp. The house is quite nice. No dishwasher, but for the two of us, it was no problem. We left a little earlier than we normally would as we wanted to get out of the way of a new refrigerator being installed. The owner communicated with us really well. It’s quite a walk over the dunes to the beach from the house so we drove.

Stayed Jul 3, 2024It’s our second year in a row staying at the “Gorda Getaway” and it exceeded my expectations both times. The place was spotless and the location right next to the beach is perfect. The host is always nice and professional! Definitely a 5-star experience!

Stayed Jun 25, 2023I stayed here 3 nights with a 5 year old, 2 year old, wife, and small dog. House sits a few hundred yards from the beach. We drove down the street and onto the beach- definitely recommend 4x4 if driving on the beach. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. The host was responsive and courteous. Overall we would absolutely stay here again, we rate the stay 9/10. Only recommendation to make this home 10/10 would be to do away with the colored lights on the balcony that come on at night- they can be quite distracting when looking at stars. And the chairs sit too low to where the balcony completely blocks the view from the amazing vantage point you have with this patio! 2 small changes to elevate this stay from great to perfect :)
