I love the actual condo…however, Floors were filthy when we arrived. Our feet were black on the bottom with dirt after walking around for 10 minutes. This was a problem last vacation & I was told it would be taken care of this time. It wasn’t. Kept getting very scripted responses from Southern vacation rentals, felt extremely impersonal. Housekeeping came with Clorox wipes, to first “check” if floors were dirty. Then just spot mopped upstairs hallway. Dirty towels were left in laundry room, extra blankets in living room & master closet smelled awful, like they’ve never been washed, living room furniture had dirt & stains all over it. (I do understand some wear & tear with guests) Was just very disappointing considering how much we pay to stay there along with the cleaning fees!
Location was great for teenagers with lots going on. Access to beach is a bit tricky BUT golf cart being provided makes a huge difference. Place was not as clean as I would have liked…thick dust, gnats and little ants, but nothing that a good deep clean and new coat of paint would not fix.
Love the location on 30A. Check in should be as soon as the property is cleaned since it is not necessary for management to physically go to the site. We got there at 350 pm and the door would not unlock until 405 pm. Common issue with similar properties is there is not enough comfortable seating in the den for the amount of beds.
This was a girls trip for my cousins and friends (youngest was 19, oldest was 30). Before arriving to this condo I sent two emails to the company and got no response on either. There were crumbs in the living room area floor and what looked like food or lots of sand on the rug. All of the walls look like they have footprints on them especially around the beds. Upon arrival we noticed a lot of gnats and thought they might have come in when we were bringing in bags, but they continued to keep coming out of the garbage disposal, so many that we even had to throw food away due to them flying on it and around it. We also killed multiple roaches that I took pictures of. My only other complaint is that the beach is close but not as close as they make it seem. The accesses are a little farther than just down the street, far enough I was unsure of the golf cart making it. The best part was getting out of the condo and going into town and being on the beach, the hub across the street was also very convenient. Probably would not recommend this to anyone else but I will be staying in Santa rosa again.
We didn’t have the best weather on our trip so we were very grateful for the pool and having The Big Chill across the street. The kitchen table was big enough for our group to play cards and games together too which allowed us to spend a lot of quality time together. I like that the owners obviously tried to make sure we had everything we needed. We had enough bikes for all 7 of us if we wanted. We took the golf cart out the first night there, didn’t drive very far and had to push it home. I’d say the battery probably needs replacing. We didn’t leave the neighborhood with it after the first night. We had 2 cars and so we were able to drive everywhere not walkable. We wished there was a small hand pump to blow up the volleyball and football. I realize it is a perk there are beach chairs and umbrellas but some aren’t in working condition and need to be thrown away. As far as cleanliness, the condo was clean and had everything we needed. The decor was very nice. You need to replace the toilet seats where they have chips in them. I stayed in the room with the bunk bed. The stairs, walls, and under the bunk had dirty foot prints on them. The refrigerator is broken where you pull out the top drawer but it can be snapped back into place. These are FYIs and did not take away from the comfort of our stay. What did take away from our experience is when I received FIVE phone calls AT 10PM, ELEVEN HOURS AFTER WE LEFT and ultimately a text saying we were going to be charged for having a pet in the condo. The person said there were multiple complaints from neighbors we had a pet in the condo. We don’t own dogs, did not have a pet in the condo AND there is a camera on both entrances to the condo that could easily be reviewed by the owners. Why didn’t anyone contact us when they supposedly got the complaints? The false accusation ruined a very average experience for us. Because we are VERY conscientious of other people’s property (high reviews on other platforms) and were threatened with a fee for a bogus reason, we will not stay at a Southern Vacation Rentals property again. There is no way we could relax knowing they could accuse us of anything without proof.
This Property is in a very nice community close to shops and food however the information listed online can be misleading when it comes to the beach access. thankfully the property comes with a Golf cart which really came in handy going back-and-forth to the beach with four adults and three small children. The closest beach access is approximately 3 to 4 miles away from the property. also the property itself was not as clean as I would have liked it to be. They certainly can improve in that area. we found other items that belong to previous guest during our stay which confirmed that the property was not clean thoroughly. Overall the place is nice but it is very unlikely that we will stay in this area again. also we left our brand new GoPro at this property and was unable to get it back. I did contact the property manager The next day after we returned home and I was told that they would look for it but I never heard anything back. So if you stayed in this property and found a GoPro you know that it’s not yours so please return it to it’s rightful owner.
The location is fantastic and the house is clean. There are ZERO extras. Not even shower gel or detergent. It’s fine, you just need to know that going into it. You will need everything from dish soap to toilet paper for your stay. We had a hard time checking in because the battery in the lock was dead and it was a bit of a process getting the management company on the phone but aside from that, all was good. Bikes and golf cart were a huge benefit.
The property was clean and the AC was absolutely outstanding! We will be back, thank you.
The property was very clean and well appointed. We were hoping this was right next to the pool like on the VRBO map but it was actually in the very back on the pool side. Still walkable but not as close as the map. However being in the back makes this property very private and living area is situated so that you mostly face the protected wooded area behind the townhome. Golf cart was perfect for getting to the beaches. We were bummed to find out that Deer Lake beach access was closed for renos but what can you do. Santa Clara beach access is just a mile or so further down the road and does have facilities so not a big deal. The HUB or now called The Big Chill in the Prominence is great for shopping, food, entertainment. The food is just so so but you are paying for the venue and we get that. You are right in between Rosemary and Seaside/Watercolor so convenient to go to all of these for shopping/food and much more affordable to stay in Prominence as opposed to those more expensive areas. We are going to spend the money to try Watercolor next but it sounds like the trade-off is cost and some resort style restrictions when it comes to the beach.
Great place to stay when your looking to get away, quiet neighborhood and convenient to great restaurants and shopping.
