Golf Cart ~ Lake View ~ Community Pool

Very nice property that is suffering from a lazy owner and a rental company that placates visitors when they reach out with issues. The icemaker in the refrigerator is leaking water causing a large sheet of ice to form in the freezer. The washer and dryer don’t work properly. The entry gate to the beach closet had to be disabled by maintenance to allow entrance. The golf cart has dirty and ripped seats with non functioning seat belts. Maintenance guys frustratingly stated that they are well aware of the issues but are unable to make owner comply. Currently awaiting compensation for my stay.

The house was very clean, the furnishings were so nice, and the decor was beautiful. I will agree with previous reviewers that the bed and pillows in the master were not great, but by no means ruined our trip. We also had a little trouble getting into the beach closet in the courtyard as the door was jammed shut, but one text to the company and they were there to fix it before we knew it. Could not reiterate more how much we loved the stash of supplies in the beach closet! Beach toys, numerous chairs, umbrellas, and even a medium sized cooler! We filled water bottles from the kitchen with ice water and were able to keep them cool in the warm temps outside without having to buy a rinky dink Styrofoam cooler. The only thing that was a minor let down was the fact that the 6-seater golf cart was in the shop, but they lined us up with a 4-seater that belongs to one of MVH's employees to use during our stay, so that worked just fine for our group, and was definitely preferable to not having a golf cart at all! Makes it so easy to get around. The location of the VRBO itself was also PERFECT. This was our 2nd time in Destin, and last time we were north of Baytowne Wharf, which made the drive to the beach on a golf cart a little more tedious. However, we do like not being beachfront, because we feel this makes us appreciate our time spent on the beach even more. This VRBO is literally a 2-minute golf cart or car ride to the beach! So quick and easy. All in all, we absolutely loved our stay, and we all agreed we would stay here again!

The views from the living area and master bedroom are so peaceful! The floor plan was well thought out and perfect for a couple or small family with kids. Two couples could stay, but there is no closet in the 2nd bedroom. The mattress in the master bedroom has deep depressions on both sides of the bed. The owner has put a thick memory foam pad on top to make it more comfortable. The golf cart is probably the fastest I’ve ever driven, but some of the seatbelts and the blinkers weren’t functioning. My Vacation Haven had great communication and were very responsive and friendly.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time staying in unit 5056 and although the unit itself was very nice, the mattress in the master bedroom was terrible. My husband and I literally sank into the mattress. There wasn't any support whatsoever. Just for the record, I weigh 122 lbs. and my husband 186 lbs. Seven nights with minimal sleep due to uncomfortable mattress was a bit rough! Other than that, the unit itself is beautiful. Kitchen had everything we needed for the most part. The golf cart was very nice too. We enjoyed riding in it to the beach and nearby fishing spots. We plan on returning in the near future, but not sure if we will stay in unit 5056. Overall, I recommend staying here if you're looking for a quiet, kid friendly area to relax at.

The rental had everything you need for a family vacation. The golf cart was so convenient, the bedrooms were spacious, the beach closet was fully stocked, and the kitchen was ready for use. We loved being able to walk to the nearby shops. Our only let down was that the pond by the house was not stocked with fish. In a week we did not come across a single person who caught a fish there.

We had a couple of issues while we were there for the month of February that were quickly addressed which we appreciated. The furniture is a bit outdated but overall we were pleased with the villa & particularly the location.
