Located along Florida’s Atlantic Coast between Daytona Beach and St. Augustine, Old Florida Flagler Beach offers miles of sparkling beaches, bountiful fishing, beachside shops, waterfront restaurants, and natural parks and other wonders. Flagler Beach is a retro Florida beach town with a hippy vibe.
Enjoy Flagler Beach's open air eateries and bars, eclectic shops, surfing, a classic fishing pier and a six-mile-plus stretch of spectacular ocean views – with free access to the beach. Gaze at the ocean from rooftop cafes while listening to the music of local musicians. The natural island environment is still a secret to many, but once you put your feet in the sand of Flagler Beach, you’ll feel like a native.
Absolutely loved the location, directly across the A1A from the ocean, also close to my Aunt’s home. Beach access is still not opened directly across from the home, it’s a few blocks down, but not bad at all. I loved hanging out up in the roost most of all. You can watch the waves roll in, the surfers surf, and all of the beautiful bikes roll in for the start of fall bike week. The home is super comfy inside and out, and is really a great place to gather as a family. The parking is awesome here! There’s plenty of room for multiple vehicles, or in our case, a trailer. The hot tub addition was great for the cooler fall evenings. Jackie is a phenomenal host! She is super responsive and very fast acting if anything needs to be addressed! We will most definitely be staying here when we come to town from now on!
Beautiful home, great location, wonderful view. The house is well stocked, clean, and comfortable. Communication with the property manager was top notch. The loft area was used a lot and provided a great napping area, especially during rain storms.
The property was great! The host truly thought of everything to make our stay special! She had some extra decorations for the holiday we celebrated, which was extra special. The house itself looks just as good as the photos. The outdoor living space and indoor great room and kitchen were great for our large family to enjoy Ocean views and relax. The house is equipped with literally EVERYTHING you could need. The only down side was that the stairs down the beach, directly across the street from the house were out of order, due to a previous storm. And the has not City repaired it, not the homeowners fault. But we didn't realize we would have to go a few streets over to actually get on to the beach. Overall we loved the property and the views from the house and we would come again.
The home is very nice and in a great location and the host left many goodies at the home and seems to want her guests to have a nice experience, the host was also very responsive.....with all that being said, the host failed to disclose in the listing that the steps across the highway (A1A) that you use to access the beach had been washed out by the hurricane in the fall of 2022. I booked this house around 2/1/23 and a few weeks later my parents were out their condo nearby and they did a drive by to check things out and informed me that the access across from the house was closed. I immediately messaged the host and she came clean about the steps but said that the city had told her that those steps were in line to be repaired soon but that there was no guarantee that they would be repaired by the time we got there on 4/1 but that there were access points open 3 blocks in either direction. At this point, I could have canceled and got a full refund but by this time, we were 5 weeks out and couldn't find anything else, so we were kinda stuck and figured we'd make the best of it and hope that the steps were repaired by the time we got there. Needless to say that when we got there, the steps were not repaired and the whole time we were there, there was no sign of repairs being made to any of the washed out steps, which are basically at every block. The few access points which were open had zero parking and was way too far to walk, especially with a family. So for the first 2 days we actually drove 20 minutes to Daytona where we could drive out on the beach, making it easier. The last few days we said the heck with it and risked life and limb to climb down the huge boulders between the road and the beach, which was the only option to access the beach in front of the house, not very family friendly to say the least, thankfully my family is pretty able bodied and we could make it but had to help our smaller children down the rocks. If the steps would have been in place, it would have been perfect, like I said, the house is very nice but the host knew those steps were washed out and did not disclose! Overall the house was clean but my wife was in the master bathtub and she saw something behind the tub.....it was a pair of men's whitey tighties with brown streaks in them! True story, so the cleaning crew needs to be a little more thorough. Puzzling that you can tell this host really wants her guests to have a good experience, but FAILED TO DISCLOSE!
Flagler Beach is a quiet, old-timey beach town that does not permit building on the beach side of A1A. The house is in walking distance from the town and even closer to some other restaurants just south of it. It has a fabulous front section with a very large and well equipped kitchen and dining area with 16' ceilings, lots of light and views of the ocean. The roost, a small covered 2-level deck one story up, provides an even better view of the sea - we enjoyed a happy hour sprawled out on the big round bed on the upper level, thankful for the many blankets provided since it was chilly when we were there. In the evening we had a fire in the outdoor fireplace and appreciated the warmth! There are three full baths which is nice when you have a group there. I liked the transition from the high ceilinged and bright front area to the regular height and very cozy living area with comfy sofas. It was too cold to use the beach across the street, but we did notice that it must have been eroded by Hurricane Nicole last year since it was very narrow at high tide, and many of the crossover walkways were still closed. It still looks like it would be lovely in nicer weather, but only usable at low tide.
We have stayed at another nearby property in the past but it was not available this year, so we decided to try this one out. We really enjoyed this stay! The house is very well appointed- everything you could think of to cook full meals, VERY comfortable beds, and awesome space to hang out as a group, both inside and outside. It felt like the owners really were welcoming guests to their home. There were a couple minor maintenance issues- the hall bathroom had a puddle outside the shower door after every use, the hot tub was only about half full, and the central air wasn’t working (they did have a mini split unit in the common area and window units in each bedroom, so we were comfortable). Overall, nothing that would prevent a future stay!
This home is beautiful - directly across the street from the beach. The views are wonderful, especially from The Roost. Flagler is an uncrowded beach town, like stepping back in time. Kerry was great to work with!
Property is just as advertised. There were a few issues early in our visit, but most were corrected while we were onsite. Leaky HVAC unit in one bedroom, door fell off the closet the first night, and hot tub did not work, but we did not let that bother us too much and enjoyed yes the week. Again, house looks like the pictures in the profile and was great for entertaining and good f coarse the beach has a the reason we selected this unit. Now that we’ve stayed here not sure we will use again, if you are looking for something on the beach would encourage others to try it out.
Great property, great location. It’s like having your own beach. Many bar/restaurants to chose from.
We enjoyed the open kithchen and dinning area and the front porch. Beach was just across the street with stairs.
Our family was looking for a place that we could be comfortable, have our own space, and gather as a family. We found it! We had a spacious house, beautiful views, steps away from the beach and great kitchen to make family dinners. Kerry was very responsive to our questions and our needs. Thanks for making our stay memorable!
