Glen Arbor, Michigan
This wonderful year round home is just a short walk to charming downtown Glen Arbor. Head out the door and walk to town for lunch and browse the shops and art galleries. Step outside and jump onto the Sleeping Bear Heritage Bike Trail which runs right in front of the home. This trail connects Glen Arbor to Empire and offers 22 miles of hard surfaced, non-motorized fun! Come back home and relax at this comfortable three bedroom, two bath home.
This home offers a nice floor plan with two bedrooms and full bath on the main level. Upstairs you will find a spacious loft bedroom and sitting area. There is also a queen size air mattress for additional sleeping accommodations in the loft. The bath upstairs offers a newly renovated walk-in tiled shower. Plenty of space to gather in the kitchen and dining area which is open to the Great Room. The Great Room is bright and airy with a vaulted ceiling and lots of natural light. The skylights in the loft and three-season room bring in more sunlight and add to the open feeling. Come for a visit in the fall and cozy up with a good book and relax in front of the natural gas stone fireplace.
The cook in the family will be pleased with the well equipped kitchen. For those who like to barbecue, step outside and fire up the natural gas grill. Stop at one of the local farm stands or the Tuesday Farmers Market in Glen Arbor where you will find a great selection of local products to make a delicious meal. Not only does this home offer great indoor space but you will find plenty of places to relax outside. Come sit on the front deck and relax on the porch swing and Adirondack chairs or bring your book and beverage to the large three-season room and take in the sights and sounds of nature. End your day with a stroll to Lake Michigan for a spectacular sunset and return home and build a fire at the firepit with the wood that is available for your use at the woodshed. Gather around the fire for s'mores and plan your next day of adventures in Northern Michigan.
Will it be a tour of local wineries and breweries, a relaxing beach day, boating on Glen Lake, shopping, hiking, biking or exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes With so many options, you'll want to stay for more than a week! Just because you are up north doesn't mean you are without the comforts of home. You will be able to stay connected during prime season with Wi-Fi and cable (these amenities will be limited during the off-season). There are many ceiling fans throughout the home, including in each bedroom to offer comfort during the warmer weather; however, central air is available if needed. The house was very nice. Enjoyed the fire pit. We were able to walk into Glen Arbor for dining and shopping since the house is only one block from the town. In addition to the Dune Climb we enjoyed the bike trail which was also close and kayaked on the Crystal River. Beach days were spent at Glen Haven Beach and Good Harbor Beach. Everyone had fun. There were enough activities for the kids.
