Stayed Jun 28, 2025Easy drives to various lakes, Glen arbor, Glen haven, traverse city etc. during our time between beaches/hiking/biking/dining, we enjoyed playing frisbee and cornhole, and grilled the evening of July 4th. The property was already stocked with all the necessities we needed. The hostess was very helpful! Really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Jul 20, 2024This place has amazing character. It was so nice for our family of five, we had plenty of space and for an older home it has great updates including two full bathrooms and a half bath upstairs. The house had everything you could possibly want and Katie the property manager was incredibly responsive. Will stay again.

Stayed Jun 22, 2024This is our third stay at this great old farmhouse near Glen Arbor; it is charming, comfortable and well equipped for a serene, relaxing and authentic Up North visit. Recent addition of a 1/2 bath upstairs is a delightful update; the front porch remains one of the great porches in the Midwest. Note well, this is not a fancy house; it is homey and comfy. Wonderful experience, wonderful management of the rental and altogether exactly as it appears.

Stayed Jul 31, 2023The property was a very nice historical home. We loved the front porch and the house had everything we needed. The fire pit was wonderful for s’mores! The location was nice and close to downtown Glen Arbor. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and Katie was wonderful and full of great information about the area when we met her upon our arrival.

Stayed Jul 1, 2023The Glenncrest cottage was just what we needed. We had two families with adult kids staying. One family was upstairs and the other downstairs. Plenty of room in the bedrooms with more than enough closet and drawer space. It was only a minor inconvenience for those upstairs that both bathrooms are downstairs. We enjoyed cool nights so one of my adult sons stayed on the day bed in the porch and he said it was just fine. The house has a great air conditioning unit that provided great comfortable air when it is hot outside. The kitchen has all the basic necessities with plenty of plates, bowls, and wine glasses! We enjoyed a dinner at the house by using the grill and the outside picnic area - very nice! The house is old and charming with a number of off-level floors but the place is nicely furnished and very clean. Katie was very helpful upon check-in and was available for any questions. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the house.

Stayed Jul 30, 2022This is our second time renting this wonderful place and we hope to rent again - it is comfortable, highly functional, and well appointed; it is in a terrific location near Glen Arbor and the hiking and biking trails of Sleeping Bear. House is clean, well - stocked, well- maintained. the front room farmhouse porch is perhaps our favorite place. Can't think of a thing we'd want differently, other than recycling instructions. Thanks to Katie and her property management team for making us feel so welcome. I'd recommend unreservedly.

Stayed Jul 2, 2022We loved this house. The property felt very private with trees surrounding. The house had plenty of space for the family to spread out with some people napping, some playing games, some eating, without ever getting in each other’s way. We also loved the outdoor spaces with the fire pit and table. The location was excellent too. Super short drive to town, beaches, and trailheads. We’ll try to come back for sure.
