Too much good stuff to say . Fam loved everything and every detail on point. We did fish a lot off the dock...beautiful... like fishing in an aquarium so clear. Lots of sunnies, few bass, a HUGE musky/pike that broke off dockside. Sighted a few large musky/pike lurking around too. Huge splash follow up musky attack on my 9yr olds sunfisb! Caught one monster but it broke off docksideCanoes/kayaks also got GREAT use. We did the channels to Lake Placid(2 lakes away). Wisconsin Everglades def some of the best paddling weve done and we've done quite a bit in BWCA. Everglades is fitting name especially in the morning fog. Lakes were calm, glasslike, crystal clear The cabin itself and property perfection for us. From the views, to the fire pits, to the night stars. Everything us city folk want in lake getaway. Inside was super nice, and clean, but comfortable and usable. Ty again for your attention to detail and offering this great place for others to.enjoy. We will definitely look to come back. We even mentioned how beautiful it'd be in fall/ winter.

We had an amazing 4 days at Hipp’s Hideaway. Very comfortable for 6 of us. So many amenities and details to make the stay fun and easy. The lake is clean and gorgeous, we loved using the canoes/kayaks to explore. Very few bugs even! We were able to relax and enjoy each others company. Perfect family vacation. My only regret is that we didn’t rent it for a full week.

The property is just as described! The house was great, roomy and had everything we needed and more. We even played some family feud and other card games on our rainy day. It slept our group of 8 perfectly. It’s tucked away and very peaceful. The view from the house deck was beautiful, you could see the lake and the docks below. The docks and seating area down by the lake was also very nice and roomy. All of us could fish, swim and enjoy the lake. The canoes and Lilly pad were a hit with the kids. The owners were very responsive and helpful. Easy to work with! Overall we had a great family vacation!!

Hipp’s Hideaway is a what a small slice of heaven looks like. My family and I had an amazing time there. There was amazing fishing, right off the dock, tons of water toys, very little lake traffic. It felt like we had the lakes to ourselves. The cabin itself had such a warm ambience it felt like home. They have tons of board games and movies for those family fun nights! All the kitchen utilities you could want for great family dinners! Just an all around great place!

Beautiful location; great accommodations.

This was our second stay at Hipp's Hideaway, and as before, this home was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped. Shawn has thought of everything! The bed was super comfortable, and the common areas very spacious. Our grandkids really enjoyed the kayaks and swim pad. The owners were very responsive when contacted, too, which was much appreciated.

We had 8 people on our trip, our kids ranged from 6-19, and everyone had a great time. Enjoyed the downstairs hang out for the older kids. Really loved the balcony and the fire pit area - we spent a lot of time there. Great fishing! Oh, and the king size bed in the master was so comfortable - I rarely sleep well away from home, but had no problem here we were just bummed the paddle boat wasn't there for us to use!

We had an amazing time at our stay with our adult children and their spouses. The three bedrooms and 3 baths gave everyone space. But provides ample spaces for playing cards, around the firepit, reading, fishing, or just relaxing! Lots to do for everyone nearby and kept everyone entertained with lots of together time.Our hosts were amazing and offered so many recommendations around the area and checked it to ensure our experience was great! Hipp’s Hideaway was everything we could ever want in a vacation home. Spacious and clean bedrooms, the COMFIEST pillows, great views of the lake, and your own private dock for a boat. The only recommendation I have would be a TV in the main bedroom, but that’s just my preference. :)This was our 12th trip to Hayward and it wasn’t even over before we were planning our next one!

Great location, great home, great host. The cabin was cozy, had all the basics that we needed and a wonderful view of the water.We were ATVing while we stayed at this home. Trails were relatively close by and the driveway had plenty of room to load and unload the rigs. Even caught a couple fish off the dock. We enjoyed our visit.

We came up for the Fishing Has No Boundaries event and truly enjoyed our stay. The hideaway was a bit hard for us to find when we first got there due to the storm that night and gps on my phone was being difficult. The only thing I couldnt find that was in the property description was the hot tub. But that was ok as the weather was not cooperative lol.

Our group enjoyed the peace and serenity with no one else around. Watching the deer as they made their way through in the evening. The fire place was our zen zone in the evening. It was the perfect environment for our meditations, conversation and time together.

It was beautiful! Such a quiet peaceful retreat in the woods! Very well stocked kitchen and lots of games and movies and books!

Over the Labor Day weekend, my family and I had an incredible and rejuvenating retreat at Hipp’s Hideaway. It was the perfect back-to-school getaway that turned out to be the highlight of our entire summer. True to its name, the cabin exuded a serene lake house ambiance, and the neighborhood was wonderfully tranquil and welcoming, with the delightful sound of chirping birds filling the air. The kids had a blast fishing off the dock, and the upstairs patio offered an exquisite view of the lake, creating the perfect setting for relaxation and unwinding. The cleanliness and spaciousness of each room in the house exceeded our expectations, and we were pleasantly surprised by the wide array of supplies provided with the rental. In addition, the host was incredibly communicative and amiable throughout our stay, which truly enhanced our experience. Our overall impression was beyond what we had hoped for, and we are truly grateful to the Hipp’s family for hosting us and providing such a memorable experience for my family and me.

Great Location and Amenities

From start to finish, the communication with Shawn was excellent. The place was perfect to celebrate my 40th birthday with my family and some friends. It's isolated, the lake is quiet, perfect setup for adult time on the deck at night, and a huge bonus was the Northern Lights and meteor shower. A quick drive to Hayward provides access to some nice restaurants and a nice Main Street, and we really enjoyed a quick 9 holes over at Big Fish Golf Course. Any time someone has asked how the trip went, there is only one word needed: AWESOME!
