Stayed Mar 2, 2024The house is beautifully furnished. And La Paloma is a beautiful, safe development -- gated, and landscaped very nicely. La Paloma is also conveniently located to shopping, restaurants, etc.

Stayed Jan 12, 2024The house is lovely and La Paloma is a perfect location. After the first few weeks we were asked not to use the gas fireplace which was very surprising since it seems to work fine and was one of the amenities we care about a lot. Otherwise everything was great.

Stayed Mar 8, 2023This home is beautifully decorated with art work of Diana Madaras. The location is private within a gated community. We enjoyed our three week vacation very much. We do have some suggestions to make the house even better. There are several areas that need attention. Within our first day we found that the garage door opener was broken and we could not get the grill started. I had to call Vacasa/Vrbo four times to finally get someone to fix it. The TP roller in the master bathroom was off the wall. The pots and pans that were available were very old and scratched. We had to buy several on our own in order to be able to cook meals for two. I left one pot behind for other visitors. We like to cook, so it would be great to have a nice set of pots and pans there. The dryer is making a dreadfully loud noise. It can be heard even when the door is closed. The kitchen drawers and cabinets could be cleaned out from crumbs, etc. Including drawers in kitchen table. One of the upper cabinet doors is broken. I would suggest that the refrigerator be cleaned and given the sniff test. It smelled terribly of a really strong fish. I bought a box of baking soda to absorb the smell. It lingered the entire time we were there. Unpleasant smell to be sure. Also, we would like to suggest there be a handle grip in the second shower. It can get slippery and there is nothing to grab in case of slipping. I am sure that would be appreciated, and prevent a possible accident.

Stayed Jun 19, 2022We enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous, quiet, gated neighborhood. Nice amenities in the home and the neighbors were very friendly. We enjoyed our morning walks and we’re blown away by the amazing landscaping in each yard and throughout the development. This area of the desert (foothills) and it’s sunsets are truly breathtaking. Very clean linens. Very clean home overall. Back patio is pretty and the grapefruit on the tree are super sweet and yummy. Bikes in the garage were a nice bonus. We stayed longer than most people (3 weeks) because my mom was getting medical treatments nearby. This was an excellent choice. Kitchen had everything we needed. The downsides: Communication is outdated. I called a few numbers on the “resource” list the owners left and all were about 19 years out of date (one lady told me so). Tucson is HOT in July. After our arrival (at night), we wanted to go to the pool but didn’t know where to start looking for it. You need to update your contact # with the LOCAL Vacasa managers & with a map to the pool. Getting that simple info was an unnecessary hassle. Once I did reach Vacasa (in Oregon?) they were super nice (Marissa? I believe). She did everything she could to help. However, we didn’t get updated contact info or directions to the pool until the next day. A list of nearby restaurants would have been nice as would some local takeout. These are simple fixes and certainly not enough to detour another visit. Warning: Be careful parking in front of the house when you arrive. Our new tires (F150 truck) brushed the barrel cactus and we had to get our front tire replaced —twice in three weeks. No joke. Be careful walking up to the front door—there’s a tall Peruvian cactus (mex fence post) to the left that will stick you if you arrive at night. I’d advise owners to remove that prickly fellow. Eeek. I only mention the negatives because I know it will help other visitors and hopefully prompt attention from the management company. So much can be accomplished with simple communication. I won’t go on too much about the high service fees & bed tax that you need to consider before booking. I wanted this to be a perfect experience for my parents so (gulp) I ate the 1k+ in fees above & beyond the daily rental fee. Thank you to the owners for sharing your wonderful home. And cheers to the management company as you make the needed changes to the communication flow. House & neighborhood: 5 stars Vacasa Mgmt: 4 stars

Stayed Feb 15, 2022Home was good. Kitchen well stocked for cooking. Had trouble with the heat the first few days and reached to Vacasa never got a reply. It was cold most of the mornings/days so wanted to use the fireplace -reached out to Vacasa and never got a reply. It was our impression we could play golf at the resort, but when we tried to set up a tee time we were told we were not staying at a La Paloma area that allowed us to play. Checked out a day early, attempted to notify Vacasa -again absolutely no reply. Won’t use Vacasa again

Stayed Jan 5, 2022This was a very nice place to stay for a month in January 2022. The location is terrific. The home is tastefully decorated with art work, has comfortable and pleasing furniture in all rooms. Quality throughout. Online photos were accurate and show the house well. No and me downs here. There is a grapefruit and orange tree in the backyard with a tool in the garage to pick the fruit along with a newer looking Weber gas grill on the private patio. The fireplace in the front room warmed the front room on chilly evenings while the very large curved screen TV was a nice addition. In the garage are two Schwinn mountain bikes. Tuscon is very bicycle friendly so you don't even have to bring your bike unless you are an avid cyclist. Two blankets on the King bed didn't quite cut to for us. It would have been nice to have a quilt. The coffee pot had seen better days. The feature to remove the pot while brewing was gone and the lettering graphics on the button faded beyond recognition. As in most rentals the knifes were dull - this is when I decided to bring the AccuSharp Knife & Tool Sharpener, available on Amazon, with us on any future trips. We booked our January 2022 trip in April 2021 when Covid was on many peoples minds. We really like this place and wanted to return in winter 2023 for two months, but with Covid declining the price of La Paloma Executive is now out of our reach.
