Garden Cottage By The Sea

This property was quaint, quiet and lovely. The walk to the beach was relatively quick. My stay here was relaxing and the home was clean and inviting.

The place was very clean. There are pots and pans available for cooking as well as everything else you need. This made a great place for me to explore up and down the outer banks from, and I plan to come back soon!

This property was as described. The host was very responsive to communications of a few questions/issues. On a quiet street. It is walkable to the beach, but have to cross busy roads; there is a crosswalk (for at least the busiest road). The grocery store and some places to eat are walkable. Many other great choices for eating and shopping very close by. Perfectly situated about halfway between other Outer Banks sites like the lighthouses and Corolla. Wright Brothers Memorial and Jockey's Ridge very close by. We loved staying here as a couple just looking to visit the Outer Banks without the crowds and heat of the summer. There is a lot to see on the Outer Banks.

Meg was a super hostess. Very friendly and accommodating. The cottage was spotless and very comfortable. You felt like you were at home. The surrounding neighborhood is walkable with a beautiful park near by.

Great place to stay in the Outer Banks! Very clean with great amenities in a quiet neighborhood that's close to everything including the beach. Host was extremely helpful and nice!

VERY CLEAN house just the right size for two! Very comfortable and close to everything.

Very comfortable and convenient. All consumables supplied for our stay. Bed was very comfortable. As were sofa and chairs. Communication was outstanding.

I had a great stay here—everything was just as advertised. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and check-in was smooth and easy. The location was ideal—close to restaurants and walkable to downtown, but still quiet at night. The staff was friendly and responsive when we had a quick question about parking. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a relaxing and convenient place to stay.

Great location for seeing the sights we wanted to visit. Quiet neighborhood and close to grocery store. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was comfy and the kitchen had all we needed. So enjoyed the pictures decorating the walls! Would return here on our next trip.

Nice place for 2 people. Very clean, bed was comfortable, easy check in and out.Great location more or less centrally located for all the attractions. Close to restaurants and shopping. Quiet neighborhood. Host was very responsive. The only drawbacks were lack of kitchen supplies and linens. Only 2 threadbare towels provided 2 washcloths 2 hand towels. Bring your own towels if you stay here. Minimal amount of cooking supplies except for spices. Also only a 5 cup coffee maker.TV in living room has no volume control and if you mute it you have to turn off and on again to get it unmuted. I would stay here again.

This place was perfect. The host was absolutely wonderful and accommodating there was a slight issue on check in but was quickly remedy and meg went above and beyond to make it happen. This will definitely be my new go to place when staying on the outer banks.

Unimpressed. House needs some updates. Floors need to be cleaned. Needs more cooking utensils in the kitchen. Feel the cleaning fee is a little extra. We have to strip bed, put on laundry, take out trash, wash dishes.. we are basically cleaning all we used. Cheaper to stay at an extended stay.

The house was very nice and equipped with most everything we needed. Although we didn't do any cooking there are plenty of cookware and utensils. The rooms were very clean. It was perfect for a couple to get away and enjoy the serenity. There are plenty of excellent restaurants within a few minutes driving (and we ate at a different one most every day). There's a public beach entrance about 3 or 4 blocks away. We would stay here again if we came back to Nags Head.

The property was nice and clean and the bed was super comfortable. It is close enough to the beaches to easily drive there in a couple of minutes and far enough away to avoid the inflated cost of rentals on the beach.

Well appointed property. Adequate for our stay and day trips to various areas of the outer banks. Kitchen was a little slight on cooking equipment but manageable. TVs were a little complicated but we managed as our preferences was outside on the darling back porch.

Location was unbelievable. The garden was breathtaking. The mattress was perfect. I had a Saved By The Bell Marathon, created my annual vision board with plenty of room to work and did yoga and had unbelievable photographs throughout the space to use as visual meditations. Who could forget the VIP parking! The internet was top notch as I hosted Zoom meetings effortlessly and they provided a lot more supplies than the other rentals do. The kitchen design is quite unique and fun. Book and game collection is superb. I would definitely stay here again. It is a very healing special place that will inspire you and unleash a creativity and self love beyond your wildest dreams. A part of me didn't want to share the review because I wanted to keep this secret garden all to myself : )

Although I could not go on our weekly vacation, due to an unexpected medical emergency, we had family members go in our place. They said the pictures on Vrbo didn’t give the place justice. They said it was a beautiful retreat. We’re looking forward to renting this again soon!
