Welcome to Leicester (pronounced Lester), a peaceful mountaincommunity just 25 minutes (13 miles) west of Asheville. With its rolling hills and scenic countryside, Leicester captures the essence of rural charm while offering convenient access to the vibrant culture of Asheville. Surrounded by the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, it’s the perfect setting to relax, recharge, and enjoy a slower pace of life.

The entire home is yours to use, with the exception of the 2 owners closets and utility room.

You’ll enter on the main-level (top floor), where the heart of the home awaits. While the home can accommodate up to 14 guests, groups of 8–10 tend to experience the space most comfortably.

️ BEDROOM OVERVIEW: 3 Bedrooms sleeps 12 people. The living room has a pull-out couch that accommodates 2 people for a total of 14 people. There is a TV in each bedroom with Roku Live Local Channels and Streaming Services for you to log into your profile.

☆UPPER LEVEL BEDROOMS:
•BEDROOM #1 → King Bed, Ensuite bathroom with tub & rain shower, walk in closet, and double sink, Ceiling Fan, Deck access from the bedroom, 55 Smart TV. NOTE: There is no window coverings for the high window above the bed.

☆LOWER LEVEL BEDROOM
•BEDROOM #2 → King Bed, shared bathroom with Bedroom #3, 65 Smart TV, ceiling fan, access to the lower deck
•BEDROOM #3 → Two Sets of Full Size Bunk Beds (4 beds in total), shared bathroom with Bedroom 2, 43 Smart TV, ceiling fan. Invisible Game Table (there are fun free games or you can log into your account if you have one to access all your games), Access to the lower deck. When we have a full house, people will need to double up on the full beds.

THINGS TO NOTE :

We want you to enjoy every moment of your stay, so here’s a heads-up on a few things about our mountain retreat. Don’t worry—most of these are just to keep you informed and prepared for the best experience possible!

‣ ⛰️ OPEN SPACES: The property isn’t fenced and sits on a hill, so keep that in mind when exploring outside.
‣ DOG STUFF: We’ve got your furry friends covered—we have water/food bowls, extra poop bags, 2 crates for small/medium sized dogs (36x23x25), and furniture protectors
‣ NEIGHBOR VIEWS: From the decks, you'll have a view of two neighboring homes one to the left and one to the right
‣ PARKING: There’s room for 3-4 small/mid-sized cars MAX, the street is narrow to the home, large vehicles (camper vans, RVs, big trucks will not be able to turn around), there is no street parking
‣ FRIENDLY CRITTERS: We have regular pest control, but since we're in the mountains, you'll definitely encounter some friendly bugs—it's all part of the adventure! To minimize their visits, keep doors and windows closed. You may see pest control around the exterior during your stay as we work to maintain this mountain retreat.
‣ WILDLIFE: Keep an eye out for bears (there are black bears in the area) and other wildlife in the area (i.e. bobcats, turkeys, deer, bunnies, skunks, snakes)—please don’t leave food in your cars and keep trash secured.
‣ FULL ACCESS: The entire home is yours, except for the 2 owner’s closets and utility closet.
‣ ️ TRASH: We have 2 bear proof trash containers if you need to take the trash out.
‣ LANDSCAPING: Our landscaper may stop by to keep things looking fresh.
‣ HOT TUB: We do our best to service the hot tub between guests. Occasionally, a quick service visit may be needed during your stay.
‣ FOOD DELIVERY: Insta cart, Whole Foods, Doordash, Uber Eats and Kickback deliver to the home. Options are limited for restaurant delivery, Uber Eats & Kickback seems to have the most options.
‣ FOR SECURITY: There’s one exterior Ring doorbell camera and two floodlight cameras in the front of the garage and side of the garage overlooking the parking spaces. NO indoor cameras.
‣ SAFETY GEAR: Fire extinguishers, first aid kits, smoke alarms, and carbon monoxide detectors are all in the home.
‣ ⛰️ MOUNTAIN LIFE: The views are breathtaking, but sometimes the power/wifi might go out during bad weather. Just a bit of mountain charm!
‣ GRILL: The BBQ is run off a propane tank, we always have one extra tank available.
‣ WATER: Our home uses well water, sourced straight from the earth. While it’s safe and natural, you may occasionally notice a slightly different taste or smell. Because of this system, water access depends on power—so during rare outages, water service may be temporarily unavailable.
‣ SEPTIC: Our home is on a septic system, which means it’s designed to handle only toilet paper—no wipes, paper towels, or anything else. Proper use helps keep everything running & smelling smoothly!
‣ ⚠️ CROSS STREET: When exiting onto Alexander Rd, be extra cautious—traffic from the left can be hard to see. Take your time and double-check before pulling out.
‣ TRANSPORTATION: Uber & Lyft service the home, but we recommend scheduling rides in advance since we’re in a smaller town—especially for airport trips. You can also use local services like AVL Ride Service or Greater Asheville Transportation LLC.
‣ NEIGHBORS: There are 2 other homes on our road. A 3rd home is planned at the end of the road, with construction expected to begin around mid-2026.
‣ ✈️ TRAVEL INSURANCE: We always recommend travel insurance for peace of mind, in case your plans need to change, it will have you covered!

    Amazing stay! This home was absolutely incredible, there was so much to do, and the pictures of the view don’t even do it justice! The house was fully stocked with everything we needed, and we loved the design, it was so much fun!. It was so nice being out of the city, feeling like we are in the countryside, yet close enough to easily explore and enjoy the area. Kelsey was super friendly, very responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

    We were lucky to book this place last minute for New Years, and it couldn’t have worked out better! The house had everything we could have wanted, and the views were absolutely stunning. With so many thoughtful amenities, we didn’t feel the need to leave the house—it had everything for a perfect and relaxing celebration. This was the ideal spot to ring in the new year, and we’ll definitely be back!
