We had an amazing time on a short trip to Beaufort! This home provided the perfect retreat between our activities. The decor is simple and cute and we loved the quick access to town. While at the property, we spent most of our time on the front porch rockers and the kids loved the hot tub! We took the ferry out to shackleford banks and had two horses hanging out with us most of the day! The kids found copious amounts of shells and loved flying the kite we grabbed the shop in town. All of the restaurants we stopped at were wonderful: Moonrakers for lunch, Blue Moon Bistro for dinner and Turner Street Market for breakfast. The other meals we ate at the house…tho I will say as a “cook” the kitchen could use a once over and refresh of some utensils pots/pans and also some extra dish towels and rags…but this is only for the people who are super into cooking ;) other than that most things were provided. Don’t miss the Maritime museum! We had so much fun there and they make it very inclusive for kids with a “treasure hunt” map for finding objects throughout. On one last note, I would categorize the house as fairly clean, but I would also say it’s due for a deep scrub (mostly the floors) and the yard could use some springtime love (weeds etc). Neither of these things effected our overall enjoyment of the property, but attention to them would greatly increase the appeal. Thank you to the owners for accommodating us on our stay and also shifting our dates due to weather!
I’ve stayed in Beaufort many times in the past few years since moving to NC and this home is definitely in a great location (within 15 minutes walking distance to restaurants) and is located across the street from the waterway so you get a great ocean breeze. The home itself is older but has been updated and is well decorated. It appeared very clean but, my kids feet were really dirty within 30 minutes of arriving and running around without shoes on (we always take shoes off at the front door so it wasn’t from us tracking dirt in). We did clean the floors several times while there so I have a feeling the dirty floors have a lot to do with the crushed rock/sand surrounding the house. Besides that my only complaints would be that the water dispenser on the fridge did not work and there was no toaster (that I could find). Also one of the a/c units is near one of the bedroom windows and my mother-in-law said it was really loud when it would come on at night, so just don’t put anyone who wakes up easily in that room.
Such a lovely home with plenty of space and charm. Walking distance to downtown Beaufort - pretty water views along the walk, great space for family and kids. Highly recommend for a getaway, we will be back!
This home was perfect for the 6 of us! Close to everything, spacious, lots of communal spaces, loved the front porch ( spent most of our time there laughing and making memories). Thank you for an amazing stay! The little things like keurig cups, creamers, and a deck of cards was an extra bonus. We will stay here again:)
This property is beautifully maintained and lives up to the photographs posted on the website. The front porch is a real plus. The house is a reasonable (.75 mile) walk into the village. We would definitely rent this property again…..soon I hope!
Perfect location, comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen, quiet and clean. We loved our stay so much, we are already planning our 2023 return! Owners are responsive and accesible. Loved it.
Very comfortable and well appointed! Terrific location too, we will be back!
My family and I enjoyed a fantastic Christmas adventure in Beaufort! The house was wonderful and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The location gave us an opportunity to explore, shop and find great food. The views were spectacular! We were able to see the wild horses and view gorgeous sunsets! We were able to make wonderful Christmas memories that our pictures will remind us of for years to come. Thank you Bradley and Kristen for sharing your house with us.
Well appointed home in wonderful location convenient to the main strip of Beaufort. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful trip. The property was beautiful and exactly as described online. The hosts were excellent and responded quickly to any requests. My only suggestion would be a luggage rack or something to set your luggage on in master bedroom and more options to hang clothes in master. Overall a wonderful trip. I would definitely recommend this property.
