Frio Verde, Wi-Fi, @ Frio River Vacation Rentals

It was not very clean when we came in. There was some trash left over from the previous renter on the floor, swpet up dirt in the corner by the front door and it seemed like the bathroom carpets were not cleaned before hand. And one of the rooms smelt like BO, it had a strange smell to it. It was ready for early check in so it seemed like the cleaning was rushed.

Alot of privacy and room. Great location. Walking distace to river.

There were lights on in Frio Verde when we arrived, and it was wonderful to open the front door and see this lovely space. It has the feel of a large cabin, but with a large-screen TV, good WiFi, well-stocked kitchen with dishwasher. Cell phone service in the area is AT&T only, but good WiFi helps and I was able to make phone calls from the cabin. In the months leading up to our trip, Sonia was very helpful--prompt and friendly about answering my many questions. We were there to see the total solar eclipse, but we also had time to walk to the Frio River, which is quite beautiful. Frio Verde is just a few minutes walk from the river.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: At first glance, property looks same as previous several years, but after using for several days, it's age starts to show. No major issues, but could really use a few updates: Door knobs don't work in master bedroom or bathroom, master bed is squeaky, master ceiling fan wobbles and makes noise, stove does not heat very well on multiple burners, and refrigerator is missing some key items like bottom shelf with drawers and very handy door rails. Otherwise, the property is very good and the AC is awesome. These inexpensive repairs would really help improve the quality of the stay.
