Fran's Place on the Water

Fran’s Place was all (and more) we anticipated. Centrally located to all the keys, we were able to see and do much. The place was fully stocked for any family’s needs, and if you don’t feel at home after within the first 24 hrs, you may need a family tune-up!Great community! Great location! Great place!

This house has everything I needed.It was clean, well equipped, well maintained and the communication with the owner couldn’t have been better.If you don’t need a pool and Cabana Club (which I don‘t really need on my fishing trips in the Keys), it couldn’t be better.The Dock was easy to use and if you clean fish there’s a lot going on in the water…Tarpon, Nursesharks, Snapper, Pelicans. I will come back.

Fran’s place was everything I hoped it would be. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to do. We enjoyed spending our mornings and evenings on the screened in back porch. Everything was neat and tidy and clean. I would highly recommend.

We loved staying at Fran's place. It was really nicely decorated, well appointed, and had comfortable beds with beautiful views. We brought our boat and were able to keep our trailer on the gravel driveway which was a bonus. The home is a duplex but you would never know it wasn't a single family home. Clean, quiet area at Key Colony Beach. We would absolutely stay here again.

I saw Fran's place and immediately loved it! I was curious how a place could have only perfect reviews until I got there. I don't think I have ever stayed at a rental that was so well represented by the pictures. The condo is clean and very well equipped. The bed was super comfy (we only used the master), and having two bathrooms was such a plus for showering after long days in the sun. We had planned a lot of activities while we were there, but found ourselves just wanting to go back to the condo to lay on the loungers and read with a beer in hand. The view from the backyard is perfect. It is only sun until about 2pm (end of May) but it was nice having the shade in the afternoon and evening vs across the canal where it was sunny so much of the day.I was concerned about neighbours and noise level, but everyone was very quiet and respectful. We had neighbours when we were there and even when we were both outside it was pretty private.The bikes were such a nice touch for biking down to sunset point every night. And it was great to have beach amenities... Towels, cooler, umbrella, and really nice beach chairs. The brand new Weber BBQ was also a big plus for us as we used it almost every night. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fran's Place. It was cute and very clean with a wonderful screened porch to enjoy watching the activity on the canal. The beds were some of the most comfortable we have had in a vacation rental! Great communication with the host also! We would definitely stay here again!!

Fran's Place certainly did not disappoint. We frequent the Florida Keys annually and this is by far the best place we have stayed. In fact, I hesitate to write such a glowing review for fear our new secret will get out. Fran's Place is very clean, the kitchen is very well appointed, the outside yard and dock were immaculate, and Fran was always available should we need her. The fish cleaning station is really nice as well. The outdoor grill was clean and well-shaded next to the front porch and within easy access to the front door and kitchen. The rooms are large and the King size mattress in the master bedroom is high quality. Cheap bedding seems to abound in vacation rentals we have stayed at in the past. There is easy access to both the Atlantic and the Gulf waters and the fishing was great. We have a flats boat, but because the waters on the Atlantic side were so calm the first few days we were able to do quite a bit of (slightly) offshore fishing. The outdoor bait freezer is a big plus. As native Floridians we know just how hot it can get during the summer. We did notice how well insulated the roof over the back porch was and with the ceiling fan on we could actually enjoy sitting on the porch in July. There are tons of amazing restaurants nearby as well. So now you know our newest secret, but is is okay because Fran and her family deserve the praise.

Fran’s place was amazing. She communicated very well. Her home was very clean. We had everything we needed. We saw manatee, shark, parrot fish, grunts and more fish right off the dock. We thoroughly enjoyed evenings and mornings fishing off the dock. The area is very quiet! Watched a fantastic sunset at Sunset Beach. Swam with a stingray at Inch Beach. Snorkeled at Looe Key. Took a day trip to Key West. We truly had a blessed wonderful week!
