Four Bedroom Sea Pines Home with a Private Pool * 5 Min Walk to Beach *

It was a great house. Had 9 people and we were all comfortable. The pool light wasn’t working so called and they brought some little lights that mainly just floated on top of the water. Didn’t really light up the pool. A couple of the teens saw some roaches in the downstairs back room, but didn’t really see them anywhere else. If you book this house make sure to take some bug spray because we did get bit a lot out by the pool/hot tub. The house is not well lit in the evening and myself and my mother have difficulty seeing in dim lighting. During the day the skylights give a lot of light. Overall would recommend this home. Also as a consideration before booking, if you’re an avid sunbather, the pool doesn’t have much sun on it, lots of trees around it.

We didn't use the pool as much as we thought we would due to tons of mosquitos, but otherwise this property was perfect. And such a convenient walk to the beach!

The pool the perfect size and is extremely private. It feels like you are swimming in a tropical jungle. Absolutely fantastic. Easy walk to the salty dog cafe for drinks and fun.

Reviewer Comments: Mostly great house, and responsiveness from Coastal Home & Villa was terrific: quick to answer questions by text and sent out service providers when we had pest and plumbing issues. They fixed all issues and were very pleasant when doing so. Did not inform us that the sofa would be soaking wet on arrival due to a needed cleaning, so we couldn't use it the first night.Location is fantastic. Short walk to the beach and to Salty Dog Cafe. Easy bike ride to pretty much anything else. The garage was STOCKED with small coolers, beach carts, boogie boards and chairs. Note the amenities description doesn't list these so we rented chairs and a bike cart we didn't need (but the $250 credit w/ VaykLife we super helpful). Aside from bikes, you'll find every other beach need covered. The house was clean, tidy & comfortable (even the grill grate was cleaned!). Most rooms could use more/better lighting. A single can light in the entire dining room area and a couple of small lamps were insufficient. The kitchen has a lot of stuff, but not all the basic necessities. Poorly organized; we spent a lot of time chasing down various tools and dishes. There was not a single whisk or pasta strainer (or salad spinner) - yet oddly there's probably 15-20 serving bowls and numerous large platters. More attention to organization and adding a few basic tools would make it far more functional. I didn't try the knives since I always bring my own. The bed in the primary bedroom was pretty awful, and my husband informed the agency of this. He had to sleep on the sofa most nights due to the super soft bed that had a large indentation in it. The kids all seemed comfortable in theirs though. Providing beach towels is a plus, as was the provision of both laundry and dishwashing soaps (at least 3 of each).Overall, it was a great stay and I'd recommend staying here with the above caveats. The pool area was almost unusable due to heavy fly infestation. We also had ants in house, every room, and on couch. The couch is stained, which makes it feel unclean and to have ants on it was a problem. We called office and they responded and were told they were carpenter ants. Also, why are garbage cans inside the outdoor shower? Easy walk to both beach and Salty Dog. Kids caught fish in nearby ponds.

There was plenty of space for the five people we had inside and out. It was actually about a 10 minute walk to the beach and shorter by bike. You can walk to the Salty Dog Cafe for great food and shopping. The only problem was too much shade around the pool. There are so many trees we had to keep moving chairs to sun bath.

Family room was big enough for us all to gather for tv or games. Closet had plenty of games and puzzles. Plenty of places to sit for meals. Enjoyed screen porch. Nice to have beach towels included. Outdoor furniture was polywood which was bonus compared to most places. Pool area is beautifully landscaped. Access to garage with loads of beach chairs and toys! Bikes from VayK rental were nice bonus. Beach easy was short walk 5-10 minutes and was able to use bathrooms, swings and water rinse off at Tower Beach Club at beach! One critique is that kitchen cabinets could use update. There was a hodgepodge of pots, pans and silverware but they were not lacking. There was no shortage at all of plates, bowls, cups and serving ware. The sectional showed wear or age (didn’t help that it was white) but seemed clean. Management was quickly responsive with issue of initially getting in. I would definitely rent again!
