Foster | 450 ft from the beach | Hot Tub | Nags Head

We loved the location of this house and had an amazing week. Only thing I would make a complaint about is that none of the bathroom outlets worked. We communicated this to the rental property and it was not resolved before we left.

When we arrived around 4 pm and the house was not clean at all. We were back and forth for over 2 hours while sitting on the porch with the property management to get the house clean so we could go in. A little after 6 a cleaning crew came and cleaned the property for us. We were able to go in a little after 7. After that the stay was very enjoyable and very convenient to all the attractions of the outerbanks. I am sure the realty company will make sure that going forward it will not happen again.

Our needs were well suited here. The house is well designed and spacious and well stocked. There was more than enough room for all 8 of us to move around. The door to the deck with the hot tub in the master bedroom is a nice feature as well as the outdoor shower, which everyone preferred to use. With the beach access right across the street and a short walk to the sand, it was an enjoyable experience. Will definitely return for future stays here.

Overall this beach house was nice, I have very few complaints but the biggest one is you might need another cleaning crew, could tell it wasn’t cleaned hardly at all, railings, windows, walls seemed pretty dirty nothing that can’t be fixed with a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint…furniture is a little worn and could be updated BUT that is it, the location is right across from beach access, not far to walk with a bunch of beach accessories. Bed was comfortable, they also have new(er) bikes for a family of 4. Would stay here again.

The property is conveniently located to the beach, important for the children and grandchildren. The place is a little old, could use some updating. It worked out great for a beach vacation.

Weather wasn't always beach appropriate. The location of the house is nice because you are not too far away from town. You are far enough away that you don't feel like you are in town. House was nice. We loved the hot tub access to the master bedroom. Thanks.

It's an excellent place to stay for vacation week and it's just right across from the beach for easy access. It's a quiet place with light traffic in front of the house here. The first day we arrived with windows a bit dirty. They should clean the windows in front of the house before people get check-in.

Location was just across the street from the beach and close to many restaurants. Perfect spot. Gas grill made cooking out easy and the kitchen was more than fully stocked. Great spot for family to eat in or on one of the many decks. We’d stay here again.

Had an amazing time at the Foster. Lots of laughter and fun with my family. A nice place for a family. Enough room and entertainment for everyone. Really enjoyed playing bingo with my kids. Nice location. Very close to everything.

South Nags head and location of the house are wonderful. Convenient access to shops, food and beach. House itself provides the basics but that’s it. Beds are not comfortable, bedding cheap and didn’t fit correctly, we have computer monitors that are bigger than the TVs in the bedrooms. Dishwasher was broken upon arrival and there was no effort to have it repaired nor any accommodation for the inconvenience, also had to buy a good knife because there wasn’t one bigger than a steak knife. Layout of house also not great with no access to outdoor eating area from kitchen or upstairs bedroom without wrapping around the whole house. Upstairs bedroom also has no closet. It also leaves a bad taste when given a list including taking out the trash and putting all dishes away (that we had to hand wash) upon checkout. For what we paid for one week, the cleaning fee should include those items. And the code was changed at least 40 minutes before checkout. Had we not noticed we could have been locked out before getting all of our belongings out. All in all, it’s the little things that make a rental feel special and this didn’t have it. We vacation in OBX yearly but will be looking at other properties next year.
