Fireplace, Deck & Grill: Lake Ozark Family Retreat

Overall the house was very nice and we enjoyed being there. The pictures of the outside front are a bit deceiving, the road to the house is a steep down hill while the driveway was an uphill in the opposite direction ( think V shaped )...if we just had cars it would not have been much of an issue but a truck and trailer were a bit tricky. Also, we brought motorcycles and the only way to get in and out of the driveway was to go to the bottom of the street and then around as to not tip over on the motorcycles. The front door lock was very finicky and would take several tries to lock and unlock it. The central air thermostat would automatically go to 80 degrees when nobody was moving around the house, we came back to uncomfortable warm house almost every day. The light switches were well marked but very poorly placed, and several times we navigated dark stairs to get downstairs as we didn't want to leave lights on upstairs. The remotes for the ceiling fan/light should be mounted near the switch that powers them as it was a day before we noticed them. Other than these small inconveniences the house was as expected.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first time to Ozarks and staying at this beautiful home. The pictures don’t disappoint. We enjoyed mornings in the sun room sipping coffee and watching the boats go by. Our family ages rang from 2-55 and the house was perfect for us all. Great location to state parks, Osage and Sunrise beaches, and a boat rental is nearby. We had just a few questions and Vickie was quick to respond.

The house was fantastic, though the garbage needed to be taken out and the animals had gotten into it. That, though was more so a testament to the previous tenants.

The house was amazing and we had a wonderful time. Perfect location and we couldn’t have asked for anything more!

This house is great, looks just like the pics. Perfect location, comfy beds, good kitchen with everything you need, great dock with lots of seating and lily pad, close to fun activities. We rent a house every summer at Lake of the Ozarks so we're used to well water BUT this house's water was damned near unbearable. The stink of sulfur and iron was disgusting. None of us took showers or did laundry. The bathrooms all had nasty rust stains on the toilet/tub and doing dishes was nauseating. The owners left some bottled water but we had to go buy gallons to wash faces/brush teeth as well as drink. This house needs a filtration system (or a better one). Literally everything else about this place was perfect BUT we crossed this off our list to return.

Great location for family fun! We enjoyed the dock and loved that we could spend the whole day enjoying the water without going anywhere!

This was a lovely home, and a great location. The internet didn't work the whole weekend and the host did not respond to a voicemail or text, so no tv or , and we had to use our data.

This property was exactly as it was listed. We are a family of 5 adults that takes a Thanksgiving trip every year and this home is now one of our favorites. The view was spectacular from the sun room and that was where we ended up spending a lot of our time. The kitchen was so well stocked and had extras that a lot of places don't. There were plenty of towels, blankets and pillows that everyone was very comfortable. I can't recommend staying here enough!
