Welcome to The Upper House, a beautifully preserved second-floor retreat in a classic 1925 Dallas duplex. This private residence sleeps up to 4 guests and is one of three independent units on the property — including the Lower House downstairs and a detached backyard cottage — making it ideal for groups who want to stay close while still enjoying their own private spaces.

The Neighborhood
Located in the heart of Uptown, Oak Lawn, and Turtle Creek, this area is one of Dallas’s most desirable neighborhoods. Walk to parks, restaurants, coffee shops, nightlife, grocery stores, and entertainment with ease. Nearby attractions include the Katy Trail, Craddock Park, American Airlines Center, and the Museum of Geometric and MADI Art. Mature trees, historic architecture, and peaceful surroundings filled with birds and squirrels make this location feel both urban and serene.
Uber and Lyft are typically available within minutes, and public transportation is easy using the GoPass app for DART rail and bus access throughout DFW.
Traveling with a Group
Groups of 6, 8, 10 or more can book two or all three units on the property to create a private compound-style experience at one Dallas address. Companion listings for The Lower House and The Cottage are available on this platform.

This is a second-floor residence requiring stairs.


Original hardwood floors are part of the home’s historic charm and may transfer some sound to the downstairs unit.


No smoking indoors.


No parties permitted.

We are super happy that you`ve chosen us for your stay!! Welcome y`all! Now most of us don`t like rules .... I know, I know .... but .... at least we say it with a smile ... : )

So, let`s just lay this one out on the table right up front .... haha .... we don`t care what you smoke as long as you`re smoking it `outside`. We have zero tolerance for any type of smoking inside, including smoking through a cracked window or an open door. Now let`s move on with a few other items so that we can get to the fun stuff, you know, the purpose of your stay:

1). Our furry friends are like humans, and by the way, we love them too! We have a dedicated Poop Station in corner of back yard. Please use the poop bags provided to pick up after your pet and dispose in `green` waste receptacle in back yard. Please do not place poop bags in regular garbage cans nor the garbage receptacles provided by City of Dallas.

2). Our standard pet fee is $65 per pet for your entire stay.

3). Please be courteous of others in outside common areas and reduce outside noise to a minimum starting at 10:00 pm in the evening. Please remember that all three houses on the property are occupied by other short-term rental guests who want to have just as much fun or relax or carry-on or sleep as much as you do!

4). Please walk softly and remove shoes inside the home - oh darn it! Just know that they can be taken off at front/back entries to reduce noise to residence underneath - it`s part of the charm of a 1920s home with beautifully restored wood floors! They are both beautiful and can be a little `loud` - haha - to your neighboring guests!

5) At 10:00 pm until 7:00 AM, we have a noise-reduction curfew so that all guests are allowed to rest and enjoy themselves as much as we want you to enjoy yourself!
