The Ferry Cottage is sustainably powered by solar and climate-controlled with an efficient heat pump. Its open floor plan and large windows flood the space with natural light and offer views of Islesboro Island, just three miles offshore.
You’ll have exclusive use of the cottage with private keyless entry via August Smart Lock. The hosts live next door and are happy to offer local tips—or give you plenty of space.
Lincolnville Beach is a working waterfront with daily ferry service and a mix of fishing boats, delivery vehicles, and locals. Most nearby businesses are locally owned and friendly. The cottage is a short walk to Green Tree Coffee & Teas, Dot’s Market, and more.

Stayed Oct 24, 2025Road noise, even with ear plugs, was a lot. Did not like having thermostat control. Host was responsive to remote temperature change request. The curtains and lack of curtains allow in too much light from passing cars and the sun. The bed was smaller than I expected. However it was mentioned in the description. The home itself was very beautiful and cozy. Nice view. Loved the books and board games available in the home. You can tell the host takes pride in their property.

Stayed Oct 7, 2025We had a lovely, quick stay! The view from the back deck is incredible. The place is spotless with cute touches and generous amenities. The host is very kind and greeted us when we arrived. Just know if you are a light sleeper, I would recommend bringing a white noise machine and/or ear plugs as you are right on Route 1! Overall, such a great place to stay.
