Ski down to this 3-bedroom Polar Peak townhome located among the cedars. Just a 5 minute walk to the lifts in the morning, these town home are in a block of 4, so there is plenty of privacy. A great choice for larger families or two small families, this vacation rental is a split level with room to spread out. Updates in the past few years include new flooring on the entire first floor, new carpet in the lower level, new kitchen granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and a warmer/dryer for up to six pairs of ski boots. The main level features a river rock gas fireplace. Polar Peak Lodges is a family-friendly complex with strict noise, smoking and parking policies.

Location is good. But in the kitchen, we found only a minimum of items. There wasn't any paper roll available. Luckily, we brought ourselves. Garbage dumping is outside and needs a short distance.

The Positives: The condo is a three bedroom and three and a half bath in a good location on the ski hill. You can ski back to condo but it is a rather strenuous walk uphill with skis to the lifts but you can do it. The Negatives: Condo was dark as the lighting is too dim. Furnishings are old, sparse in rooms like Master and downstairs bedroom and well used. Liners of shower curtains in bathrooms are moldy and need to be replaced. Fernie Property management was unhelpful and rude when we contacted them with some questions.

Dishwasher not working, two toilets in need of repair and a kitchen stocked with an eclectic mix of dishes and cookware akin to a student stocking their kitchen by means of flea markets and garage sales. The cookware with compromised non-stick coatings should be disposed of.

Long weekend with friends. Great location (ski in and short walk to lifts), lots of space and good layout. Too bad about the snow this year but love Fernie anyways!
