Aguada, Aguada
A three story, four bedroom beach house located on a mile of lonely sandy beach. It is steps away from a fish market, an open-air restaurant (La Casa del Dorado) and only a short distance away from several neighborhood bars, food stands and a bakery. Located in the historic Barrio Espinar, this quaint neighborhood is home to the oldest church ruins on the island dating back to the 1500's. The upper-level terrace provides the best view of the west coast overlooking pueblos from Aguadilla to Rincon. The main level has three bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen and access to the third level patio. The lower level studio has its own living room, bathroom, kitchenette and laundry.
Wonderful stay, great weather, lovely people. We were a large family group and the property was right on the beach so the little ones had their fill of swimming and surfing. There are a few little things that would improve the property, soap holders in all the showers, new medicine cabinets and increased seating in the living area. Gracias to Agapito, the very gracious caretaker.
This house is amazing. Great views. Very comfortable and has everything you need for a beach vacation. There are lots of beach towels, chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards and SUP boards. Crash Boat beach is only 20 minutes away. Nathan, the host was very accommodating and responsive to any questions we had before we arrived. Once we were there we had no reasons to contact the host. We had a great stay. We wish it was longer.
The view each morning brought smiles and much joy! If you want to do day activities, many are back toward San Juan and driving gets tiresome. Plan ahead.
This is a w wonderful property with all the amenities- house is perfectly located and the views are just breathtaking- the hosts were so wonderful and communicative! And the Sunsets! To die for! We Loved it and will be back for sure! Thank you for everything! Our family had an amazing time!
We came for the July 4th week with 2 families 4 adults and 5 kids. Everyone had plenty of room and the location was perfect. The house has incredible views and everything you would need for families on the beach. There are a few restaurants nearby and everyone we met was very friendly. The house was a bit dated and could use a slight remodel but it worked well for our group. I did notice an extra $400 fee labeled Owner fees after I booked which I've never seen before? I asked the owner what it was and never received an answer? I would highly recommend this home especially for the price. Can't beat the view!
Wonderful beach which we all enjoyed very much. There were plenty of beach towels, beach chairs and great paddle boards. We just needed more indoor table seating and some comfortable outdoor seating on the fabulous decks overlooking the water.
Great place to stay, all enjoyed
This beach house had everything we needed - fully stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, comfortable beds, patio furniture, beach chairs, cooler, beach towels, umbrellas, beach toys, paddle boards, etc. etc.!!! The rooftop overlooking the beach was the best! We enjoyed the beach right at the house, but also ventured out to some fun beach towns around 30 mins away - Rincon and Isabela. We also drove about an hour to La Parguera and rented a boat, toured the beautiful cays/islands, beaches, and even snorkeled a bit. Such a beautiful island with so much to explore! Thanks to our wonderful hosts who gave us tons of great suggestions!!! Highly recommend this part of Puerto Rico, away from the hustle and bustle of San Juan (although definitely need to spend a day in Old San Juan)! Best restaurant nearby was Mahi Mahi! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home!!!
I cannot over-emphasize enough how amazing this property is. Right on the beach! The view from the porch is stunning. If Only I could wake up every morning and drink my coffee from the porch and watch the birds dive into the ocean!! The property was clean, the property owner was very informative, and the property had everything we needed! We hope to be back!!
Best family beach trip ever! The sea was perfect, (even for the 4 y.o. who learned to snorkle, btw) sandy, relatively calm and clear waters, NO seaweed. We paddleboarded with turtles, then saw one come ashore to lay eggs! AMAZING! We saw dolphins too, and could see fish in the surf. Some guys were training their horses to be comfortable on the beach and in the water....don't see that everywhere. Oh, and beautiful sea glass washes up every day! The house layout is perfect for us...6 adults and 3 kids. It is very well stocked with kitchen appliances, towels, linens, beach toys, even umbrellas and paddleboards. The porches were just beautiful, of course the view at sunset was jaw dropping. I highly recommend this place! Just to note, the beach retainer wall in front of the house was damaged by the January earthquake (I think) and with Covid-19 restrictions, has not yet been repaired. It was no big deal, we were allowed to use the neighbors beach access. We didn't want to leave!
