FAMILY RETREAT NEAR CASTLE ROCK LAKE - PET FRIENDLY

Everything was as expected. We were able to take our entire family and all slept comfortably. The swim spa was an awesome amenity. The deck was not usable as the snow was not removed. Overall, a great family experience!

We had a great stay at The Dam Cabin while on our family ski vacation! The cabin was so cozy and clean! It had everything we needed. The real standouts were the wood burning fireplace and the huge hot tub that we enjoyed each night! Thank you!

What a beautiful property in Mauston, WI! The multi-level house features four bedrooms, offering plenty of room for everyone. It was spotlessly clean upon our arrival, and the check-in/check-out process was smooth and easy.The kitchen is fully stocked, and all appliances were in working condition. The internet connection was reliable. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and gathering around the firepit in the evenings, such a cozy touch!The deck could use a fresh coat of paint, and a few of the large windows might benefit from a good cleaning, but these were minor details. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider booking this property again.

All our cousins wanted to get together so we chose The Dam Cabin. Some lived throughout Wisconsin and some in Maine. We had a great time on the lake , in the hot tub, night around the fire and even playing games for 4 hrs when a storm went through and we lost power. We will definitely be back!

The property was great. Plenty of room for 10 of us. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. It is quite large and we loved that the cover was electric powered. The 4 kayaks were another plus that we made good use of. We would highly recommend.

Great cabin! My one granddaughter said at least a couple of times that she loves this house! And that mom and dad should by one like it :-) Very convenient to get to The Dells and Devils Lake State Park. The hot tub was FANTASTIC! And the swing set was very nice for the kids. Kudos to the proprietors for all the toys, etc, in the garage for use.

This was a very nice house in a private setting. Cottage Keepers were very responsive to all of our questions.

Everything is clean. Lots of amenities. There is a hot tub, kayaks, to use. We just walked in put our stuff away and were relaxing within 30 minutes. When we left all we did was start a load of towels - everything else they took care of. This was the most relaxing get away this girls weekend we had. It was nice to have 3 floors so everyone had plenty of room. 3 1/2 baths for 9 women was great! The location was great - close to the lake and lots of restaurants. I will be booking this again for next year!!!! Thanks again

We had a great time at this property. It is at a nice location and the house is clean. The property manager was awesome and took time our call on thanksgiving day to help us with our questions.

Our stay at The Dam Cabin was fantastic. There were 8 moms who needed a weekend to recharge before the craziness of the holidays. We had PLENTY of space! Everything we possibly needed was at the cabin. We enjoyed ourselves so much we changed our plans of going out to dinner and didn't leave the property all weekend long. The swim spa and fires gathered us all together but if some of us needed a quiet place to read or relax it was easy enough to find that space as well. We are ready to book another stay!

The house had everything we needed for our large group of 15 (6 adults & 9 kiddos). The hot tub was a big hit! It was clean & had cool lighting & music capabilities. We loved sitting around the fire & chatting in the evenings. We typically do a longer Lakehouse trip over the summer together, but this time we wanted a shorter weekend & visited the Dells' attractions & a water park instead. It was a perfect distance away from the downtown Dells area. It would have been much more expensive and/or not as much fun staying in the hotels instead of a house. However, if you are looking for house on a lake with its own dock, this is not that type of lake house (at least we did not find an associated dock). There were little fishing holes off the sides of the road nearby where the kiddos snagged a couple of pike. Down the gravel road from the house there is a dam (hence the name of the place & the road), and there is a little path where you can go down & fish as well. There is also a nearby state park which has a beach area & recreation along with firewood for sale, just 3-5 minutes down the road. We would stay here again!

We spent 5 nights at the cabin with our extended family, 6 kids and 8 adults and we had a fantastic time! Lots of space to accommodate a large group. 3 of the bedrooms had bunkbeds and a full/queen bed. The house actually seemed larger than the pictures made it seem. The hot deck and hot tub were wonderful! Definitely would recommend !

The property was fantastic! The weather was cool and rainy. The spa was great, we had plenty of opportunities to use it. The mosquitoes were out of control, but we were still able to enjoy a few fires and make some s’mores. Great times!
