Homey lake house with a peaceful vibe. The house is spacious with an oversized couch, great for snuggling while watching a movie. The beds were comfy. We spent our days fishing and boating (we brought our own boat, poles, and bait). Very calm and peaceful small town feel. We enjoyed watching the wildlife. The children had fun feeding the adorable turtles; they feasted on the remainder of hotdog buns. Our family enjoys golf and there is a public course around 2 miles away. Furthermore, the sunsets are gorgeous. my eyes were delighted gazing at the sky filled with purples, reds, and bright oranges!
Relaxing friendly rural neighborhood. We were greeted with chocolate, marshmallows, and gram crackers - a big hit with the children. We were unexpectedly surprised by the up-dates in the rainbow room. They added an indoor playhouse and a huge doll house. The girls squealed with delight. Furthermore the children had a wonderful time at Goat Island while the adults went golfing at the public golf course. The fishing is awesome - we had so much to do. The country ambiance is relaxing. We love this lake house. Our family easily fits. Now with the extra space for the children, the adults were able to enjoy the comfy couch and reconnect. Private upper deck, patio, and backyard outdoor areas! The property is very clean! The kids had a blast. Will definitely be back soon!!! I highly recommend this property!!!!
Peace and quiet in rural Texas. Not a cell tower in sight; calm, peaceful, and relaxing. My wife and family of 10 spent a blissful week reconnecting over fishing and boating. Now that I'm home, I feel recharged and invigorated. The lake house is beautiful. It has a quite magical atmosphere with its timbered structure and flooring that looks as if it belongs in a castle. It was clean and comfy. The children had fun playing with the toy kitchen and playing games; plenty to keep them occupied. A short drive from your lake house rental into one of the quaint towns can lead to antique shops and restaurants, or you can stay in and fire up the grill for a nice BBQ dinner. The neighborhood is very laid back and reminded me of a rural Texan oasis where hunting and fishing is the norm. Being a large family, we cook a lot. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans. We were even able to bake cookies. We will definitely be back!
We had a great time for spring break at this property. Had an issue with the dish washer (which got fixed). One tv wasn't working but the others worked fine. I didn't realize that you can't really get to the main part of Lake Livingston from this location but we found some areas to do tubing and found goat island. Kids had a blast feeding the goats everyday. The host left us popcorn and smores makings which were huge hits for the kids. Lots of games to play.. Might consider doing a coded entry so they don't have to meet the renters to let us in. The host was super nice but other locations we have stayed at sent us a code to get into the door so we could just get there and chill. Had a great week!
Escape the stresses of city life in this country lake house. The country ambiance flows into the large home which can accommodate over 8 people in its various rooms, some featuring the most adorable bunk beds. Private upper deck, patio and backyard outdoor areas! The property was ultra clean! The kids had a blast with all the games. It was wonderful to look out on the lake and not see it crowded. Will definitely stay again!!!! Overall 5 stars and AAA++++++
The property was perfect! Everything was as it said it would be, and ease of contact with the manager was great! Highly recommend this property for anyone looking to have a great weekend on the water! Our family of 14 had a fabulous time at this property The house was clean, inviting, well-maintained, beautifully appropriated with comfortable beds, plush towels, soft linens and blankets, and plentiful kitchen cookware / bakeware allowing us to make several meals there at the house without wanting for accessories. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor games provided at the house - especially corn hole. The boys still did some kayaking and paddleboarding as well as fishing (we brought our own gear). The TV's and internet access all worked well, and it was nice to have so many areas for spreading out to visit, play games, watch TV, read, and relax. I can't think of one thing that we commented on that we wished were different and that's pretty unusual and phenomenal for our group. It was the perfect getaway for our crew - plenty to do, but also plenty of room to just relax. It's very rural and quiet. You just have to go!
This family-friendly Trinity vacation home is located on the waterfront of Lake Trinity, just about 2 hours north of Houston, Texas. This lake has become one of our favorite places to visit. We loved every bit of our stay. If you enjoy bird watching, Trinity offers many flocks. The best time to see them is early morning. It's best to start quite early. Unlike other places, you can get quite close to the birds. This also gives a unique opportunity to click some amazing pictures. It's quiet and serene, a great way to recharge your batteries.
The Lake house is an excellent location for kayaking, fishing, canoeing, and simply enjoying nature. The dock is adequate for boats. The loons are nearby all the time and offer beautiful singing at night. The sunsets are spectacular. Trinity Lake is big and diverse enough that there are several marshy areas that are perfect for exploring the local aquatic wildlife and fauna. We ate every meal on the porch or on picnic tables right next to the water. We have more we would like to do at Trinity Lake and are considering going back again. An amazing location, very rural, not flashy, just warm, inviting, and family friendly. We had a wonderful time, got to go kayaking, saw my first loons with their babies, a bald eagle, and just loved the area in general. We enjoyed sitting by the lake watching them. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. Neighbors are friendly and welcoming. The lake has amazing, stunning sunsets, and stars like I haven't seen since I was a child, so I'll bring my telescope next time. We would definitely stay here again!!
Very relaxing and calm.
The Lake House offers you more of an upscale and serene experience while being rustic. We returned for my wife's birthday get-a-way. Very comfy. Beautiful view. Amazing hospitality. We were greeted the second we arrived. At night, we headed to the fire pit with marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate and enjoyed the warm December nights. Once we put the children to bed we sat on the deck overlooking the river with cold adult drinks sitting in the adirondack chairs.. The master bedroom decor - dark wood custom 4-poster king bed, pair of chairs & table, dresser, & beautiful stone floors, were so calming. Very comfortable firm bed & fluffy pillows. We can't wait to come back this summer.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
