Family Getaway on Douglas Lake! Home w/ Deck, View

Excellent views and the home was just as pictured. We had a great time!

Only issue I seen was the location to get to the house. Long gravel driveway headed beside a cow field. Don't listen to google maps, it tells you your location is right in the middle of the driveway. If you keep going you see a split and there is a sign on the fence of the house numbers. I also would put grips or something on the ramp that goes to the dock. It is very slick. This time of year the water level is lower so the dock is steeper. We had a nice time and very relaxing. Beautiful view of the water and the house is very well kept. Yes there are bugs but you are near water and trees.

I generally don't wright reviews but we were so disappointed in this house I wanted to let someone know.1. There were no sheets for the pull out bed.2. The refrigerator didn't look clean when we arrived3. The deck had rotten boards and one had a hole the size of my foot.4. The upper deck furniture needed to be replaced5. My husband trimmed the shrubs around the steps otherwise they were hitting us every time we walked up the steps.6. The worst was the dock, the first part, about 25 feet long was at a 30 angle and slippery making it dangerous. The children slid down on their butts and I fell once because I couldn't stop sliding.

Perfect for a family get away this summer. Lake and dock were amazing

The place was cute. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. The family room is upstairs, and the pullout-couch is extremely un-sleep able. Do not count on that pullout as a bed. The kitchen was ample, plenty of plates, glassware, etc. The pot was missing from the coffee maker, even though I notified them about the missing pot, they never came out and delivered a new pot. A cheese greater would be nice to have on hand. The rest of the utensils we doable. Plenty of clean towels throughout all the bathrooms. The main floor is in bad shape and could use some refinishing. The steps to the dock are very steep and not your standard step height, so it was a bit of work to go up and down. There were cornhole boards, but no cornhole bags. Again, was notified and none were brought. The outdoor deck on the house needs new decking. There were a few loose boards and even a cracked board that made if feel unsafe. The cove it is in, is very nice and roomy. Great spot to swim in.

I was impressed with the cleanliness and the house met all of our needs. The floating dock was a nice and the area was quiet.

Great little property. Directly on the water, very nice dock. Two queen beds, at least one king would be a nice upgrade. Off the main channel so it’s perfect for kayaking or paddle boarding. Beds are very comfortable.

We have stayed at this location 4 or 5 times. It is remote, but its exactly what we were looking for when we first found it. We will definitely book again.

it was perfect for our little family. there were a lot of stairs involved beyond the front. Stairs to the loft, the garage and to the dock. If you have any elderly or people with limitations, I would not advise this property. Be advised the coffee maker requires grounds and I wish they left more cleaning supplies. We forgot to bring Lake/beach towels while not a deal breaker the only towels available were hotel (bath towels) size. No others were available on site. The fire pit could use replacing but was functional. It was a quiet spot and as advertised. We would most likely book again depending on family.

We loved being here, it was so easy to check in and check out. Great communication with the property manager. 10 out of 10 we would definitely stay here again.

We booked the cabin to enjoy sitting by the water and so my husband could fish. The listing did not contain any disclosure that the lake would drained during the time of our stay. This completely upset our plans.

This is our 3rd time at this property and I couldn't recommend it more! The lake water level had dropped during this visit which made for a sketchy descent to the dock, it it was doable. This property is one of our favorite weekends of the year. Thanks so very much, and see you next year!

The property was quiet and peaceful. Just what we wanted. Would stay again. However, while the house was neat, the cleanliness wasn’t super for what we paid. Bugs on every door and window, significant ant problem in the kitchen, bathrooms with evidence of last occupants.

The rental is adorable and lake front. We loved staying. Just a few suggestions...to address an ant issue in rhe kitchen, and make sure items in kitchen drawers are truly clean. Also the outer windows and glass doors were covered with bugs. Other than that, the place was clean, comfortable. Had great amenities was

Great house. We just stayed a few days but it was exactly as shown on listing. Only thing I would suggest is that the grass needed cut.
