Great property for our family - 6 adults and 2 grandsons ages 2 and 3. Actually better than in the pictures. Very comfortable and Alan was wonderful about checking in to see if we needed anything. We will be back.

This property is simply AMAZING! The house is beautiful, unique and so so cute!!! My fav was all the exposed stone. The house has EVERYTHING! You just need to bring your food and swimsuit. The river is right on the property, and it is stunning. There are several places to get in, some shallow, some deep. There is a long staircase to get down, something I did not consider with my father's mobility. Otherwise, it was perfect for the rest of us. The is a charcoal BBQ grill, outside shower, loved it. We will definitely be back.

This is our 3rd stay at this special place... We have made it a tradition in our little Family. We love the location and all it has to offer. The River access is second to none and the Home is precious! We love that there is not a single T.V. in the home - it takes u back to a simpler time with it's awesome Record Player and cool Record Collection. We enjoyed the clear river and watching the fish in their natural habitat... and watching the wildlife from the balcony while sipping coffee in the morning and sipping adult beverages in the evening... PRICELESS!! We played tourist in Bandera and had a blast!!! Thanks, Alan, for always making us feel welcome!!! We cannot wait to return to this Little Slice of Heaven!

Great location just minutes from downtown, but has the feel of being in the middle of nowhere. The few miles of easy walking trails right along the river was a great bonus. There's a few chairs right beside the river that were great at night to listen to all the frogs, and spy on a couple armadillos having their supper. There's no television, but no one in my group minded at all. We spent most of our time on the large deck out back.

When we arrived at the house at midnight there was a couple, two dogs, and the smell of weed sleeping in the house. We spoke to the host and he did not take responsibility, initially arguing that it was our fault because we had arrived after 10 at night, telling many lies about the platform. It has a poor organization with the key and it is very easy for anyone to take it and enter.

We had the best time with our 4 older teens and puppers! Alan was incredibly responsive and checked in to make sure we had all we needed. The views are beautiful and miles of riverfront trail space. We were only about 10 minutes from town with yummy restaurants and grocery store. Highly recommend:)

Family trip with dad, mom, 12 yo, 9 yo, and 2 yo kids. The house was clean and tidy. Comfy beds, A/C units blow cold. Great indoor and outdoor spaces. The river section at this house was wide, clear, and shady with water 1-3 feet deep. We spent hours floating and reading in that spot. Just a short walk up was a fun rocky area with a swimming hole and some dams/shoots previous families had made. There's no TV, so we didn't get to binge The Chosen, but the wifi is strong. You should bring a favorite board game or that book you've been meaning to finish. This house has two things I've not seen in a vacation house - a record player with plenty of fun records, and a bookcase full of books you'd actually want to read. The green belt is fun to explore, mom and son did their run workouts along it. The neighborhood is quiet and dark so we stargazed each night. Bandera is a few minutes away and has a good grocery store (it's a Lowes Market, not HEB, but it's good, quit being so picky) and some usual places to get takeout. We really enjoyed the Bandera Natural History Museum. It's packed full of Spanish art and taxidermy. We hiked at the nearby Hill Country State Natural Area.

We love love, love love love this property and this home !!!!! I think any other time of the year other than the high heat of the hot summer in August I would be completely raving positive comments . Unfortunately, the window units just did not cool the house down, and we were hot and uncountable the majority of the time. Especially at night trying to sleep it was pretty miserable I’m sad because we absolutely loved everything else except for that Allan was a wonderful host, and everything was just lovely.

We just returned from the River House and had a fantastic experience. One highlight was the hummingbirds that graced the porch—such a delightful touch. The house was impeccably maintained, and the artwork added a fun, unique charm. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we didn’t miss having a TV; the record collection and turntable provided a wonderful daily soundtrack. The kitchen was fully stocked, making family dinners at the large dining table a joy. The river was perfect for the kids, and the screened-in porch was ideal for enjoying the beautiful scenery, even during storms. We truly appreciated the opportunity to stay in your home and will certainly be returning. Thank you for a memorable week!

Such a cute home on the Medina river. Clean and very comfy for our family group of seven. Awesome screened porch and deck. Loved the big dining table for us to all be together and listening to the records. Easy drive into Kerrville or Fredericksburg for a day trip. Alan is a great host! Hope we all get to go back sometime!
