The master bedroom Let's just say it's masterful – king-size bed for the kings and queens, a portable crib, and a bath that feels like a spa day – walk-in shower, dual vanity, and a soaking tub. For the always-prepared, there's a washer-dryer duo waiting for the aftermath of adventurous days.
Upstairs, there’s a quiet loft - perfect for sneaky naps or pretending to work remotely (dual monitors, a headset, and a USB hub). This is my eighth stay at Pinecrest, my wife's family has been coming for decades for a summer family reunion. The 5 o'clock lodge is by far the best equipped home we've found at Pinecrest. It looks better in person than on the webpage and is without a doubt one of the top homes I have ever stayed in. I can't stress how well equipped this home was. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed for 5 days of very varied menus for groups of 8. The only thing to note is that the national park service style charcoal grill takes some getting used to, but worked very well once we had figured out how much charcoal one needs to make a good bed. Alot! Speaking of beds, all were clean and comfortable. The younger adults loved the living room furniture, which was comfy but shorter folks are best served by curling up in them or laying across them. Plenty of hot water for many showers during the day, great wifi, great A/c, though rarely needed during our stay. What more could you want. Nothing. No more. This place is great, well run, and with terrific communication on the part of the owners. We intend to rebook for 2024 as soon as our dates are confirmed.
