Family-Friendly Home: Walk to Lake Erie!

The house was as pictured. We had no issues getting in with the code or leaving. I have nothing bad to say about the house, the stay, or the communication. If I’m ever in the area again I would rent this house again.

We really enjoyed the property and had a wonderful girls trip to Erie. We did have a few suggestions for you though, such as replacing / bleaching the stained / dirty shower curtain in the bathroom on the main floor. The loft bedroom was not prepared for a guest - missing top sheet and towels. There were no kitchen towels or wash cloths. Low shower pressure in the upstairs bathroom. The toilet seats need to be replaced - a bolt on the one is broken and the seat slides around uncomfortably. Wheel on gate closest to house was wobbly and appeared ready to fall off. Again, we had a wonderful stay and these are just some helpful suggestions. Brandy was able to solve any issues we had as she was very nice and helpful.

This house is really nice! We had 5, 7, and 9 year old girls and they absolutely loved the loft! And, truthfully, it made it quieter for us grown ups, too!It’s an old house, but there had been extensive remodeling . There’s still more to be done, but the house is comfortable right now. 27 stairs, so you get your work out!The drive way is gated, which is nice, because we didn’t have to park on the street. It did get a little old always having to “do the gate”, especially since the back door that’s inside the fence, can’t be locked from the outside. You have to lock the back door and then go out the front door and lock it from the outside. Bit cumbersome, but we made it work. We had a few glitches, but overall, this is a lovely house.

Unique house in a bad neighborhood. The trash cans were full and there were large trash cardboard boxes in the backyard. The kitchen was pretty well stocked. Measuring cups & spoons, and a cake pan ( like 9x13) would have been helpful. No access to a washer and dryer when you have children with you is a pain. No extra trash bags were left. The open food in the refrigerator and pantry was gross. The house was clean and well stocked with blankets. Don’t expect to see Lake Erie from the house like portrayed. Cabinets were not organized. Pots and pans etc just thrown in haphazardly.

Loved the charming cottage very roomy and clean they left us a snack basket I thought that was considerate along with free coffee

We arrived at 4:00 check-in time. When we tried to code the numbers in to unlock the door, we could not get in so we called the property manager number given. She answeredthen disconnected somehow we finally were given a completely different code and were able to get in. The back door had to be unlocked from the inside so whenever parking, one person had to do inside, one park the car and take things in, then lock up car and go out and close gate and come in the front. The walls were a bright orange color in every room which was a little disconcerting-circus like. Other than the stair being very steep and the remodeling a little sloppy, the house was clean and comfortable enough. Probably will stay somewhere else next time, not the nicest neighborhood.
