Orem, Utah
Bring the whole family in this peaceful central neighborhood. A Private home stocked with all of the necessities to make your trip stress free. Beautiful Mountain View minutes away from waterfall, close to restaurants and shopping, or stay in and watch a movie on a huge projector or play pool or ping pong.
This is an older home needing lots of updates. It had plenty of beds and seating and the young adult grandchildren appreciated the pool table and ping pong table. The beds were comfortable but one downstairs room had a couple spiders in the bedding, so those in that room slept on the sofa. The bathrooms were not what we've experienced in other VRBO rentals and need upgrades. The no shoe rule wasnt appreciated and created mess of shoes. Location was fine, but limited parking for our group of grandchildren with own vehicles and rental cars for those converging on Provo. Towels and spare blankets were plentiful. Price was reasonable.
Overall the property was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The owner communicated well but wasn't overly intrusive. We enjoyed our stay!
House is old so doors are noisy and you can hear everything between basement and top floor. But house was clean, great location, comfy beds, plenty of extra bedding and towels. Host was great, responded to messages quickly and was even willing to bring her instant pot over to make sure we had what we needed for cooking dinner! Well stocked kitchen which is important to us, even the little things like pan spray and seasonings. If we ever need a place in the area again we will for sure use it!
Everything about the house was good except one room where my son and daughter in law stayed in. There was dead bugs all over the floor and in the window sill. There was also dirt in the window sill. The bugs were crawling on them all night. They were earwigs, spiders and ants. What's strange is that they were no where else in the house. Another frustrating thing is that we had to wash all the towels before we left. Isn't that house keeping does?
We were in town for a family wedding. It was nice to all be in one place. Having three full bathrooms was appreciated. Adults enjoyed playing pool. Kids (ages 2 to 6) enjoyed the toys in the toy box. We didn’t use them, but it was thoughtful to have made available an umbrella stroller, a crib, a bassinet, and a high chair. We also watched the projection tv. Just some notes- Check in and check out times are firm. Plan ahead because renter is responsible for having the towels washed and in the dryer before leaving (by 10 am). Also leave enough time before your departure to run and empty the dishwasher. And while it sleeps 18 (not including any infants), there are only 10 or 12 chairs around the table. Eating is not permitted anywhere but in the kitchen. Maybe eat in shifts or some could eat outside? (No snacking while watching the wonderful projection tv :( )
This was a great size home. Even though we had 16 people, it still felt like so much space and not crowded. Loved the fun and games, we watched the fights and super cross on the projector. We reccomend having more dishes and cups, a coffee maker. Didn’t like how there was a Book of Mormon on every bedside table.
And this was my first time using VRBO. This was such an amazing find and a much better experience. The host had everything I needed prepared and in advance in the app, and the place was equipped with everything I needed to have a very enjoyable easy stay. The beds were SUPER comfy and the whole place just felt clean and cozy!
