Family-Friendly Home Near Boyd Lake w/ Views

House configuration great. Location great. Beds - master great2nd king and main level queen - terrible. Worn out mattresses. Towels - thin , scratchy, skimpy , worn outFridge- everything in bottom drawer froze first night. All veggies and fruit inedibleWindows - seals broken, need replacing.

Quiet get away with great views and plenty of room for the family.

We had a wonderful time at this great location! The only bummer was not being able to use the dock for the 3 days we rented a boat. To be clear - the dock and boat ramp are off limits, but you can use the tiny lake access to the left of the ramp. We were also disappointed to have to do laundry right away because they only supply 2 kitchen towels and one bath towel per person. This was disappointing in this higher end rental.

The house was larger than expected and is in a great location.

This is 100% false advertising!!! The listing on here is says you have beach access, but that is NOT true. We knew we didn’t have boat ramp and dock access. We booked this property because we wanted to be able to walk across the street to the beach. Once we got to the property, we saw there was a gate to the beach. The HOA informed us that we do not have access. They said the owner knows this too!! The owner said she would come by in the morning to sort it out. She just texted me the next day that she would pay our $10 daily park fees for a beach that was a 20 minute drive. I am beyond upset about all of this. We had to shuttle everyone to another beach all week whether they wanted to go or not. I was just looking for a house that made it convenient to go to and from the beach with all of the kids. We paid a premium for this house and totally felt taken advantage of.

What a great house - lots of room to spread out! And lovely backyard and location overlooking the lake. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed, and check-in/check-out was easy with Stacy's friendly communication. Definitely staying here next time we're in town for a family reunion.

Overall our stay was quite pleasant, a bit rushed not enough time to just sit and enjoy the view and relaxing home. A few things I would suggest the owner upgrade on Replace large picture windows, you have a beautiful view but old glass, replace patio door & screen, it's seen better days, and was hard to open & close and clean up the patio porch attached to the downstairs bedroom, I was looking forward to enjoying a morning coffee in there, but it was not clean and full of dust & spider webs. Downstairs playroom was great, however very cold. And it would have been good to know you can book direct thru owner for a less expensive rate. I hope my review helped you. Thank you

Let me start by saying we had a great time! There were a few rough spots… When we arrived, it was over 80° in the house, none of the fans worked because the remote controls batteries were dead, the house was filled with dead millers, the house stunk like garbage because the garage smelled of Old garbage, the yard was also very smelly due to leaves that had not been picked up since the winter, the sunroom was not usable due to the millers and not being cleaned, The neighbors made it very uncomfortable and difficult to get to the lake with our paddle boards and installed a gate while we were there and we were kept out (the lake was the reason we chose this location). When we arrived we quickly got to work Airing out the garage, moving the trash cans away from the house, sweeping the driveway and front porch, cleaning up all the millers in the house, going to the store to buy batteries so that we could cool the house down with the fans and then it was time to relax and enjoy our weekend! After everything was cleaned, we definitely made ourselves comfortable and it quickly felt like we were home for a long weekend and had a great time!
