The Primary King Bedroom, which is located on the top floor, has an ensuite bathroom with a his/hers sink, and a stand-up shower next to a free-standing large bathtub. The main floor consists of an open concept kitchen and living area, great for entertaining friends and family while cooking an amazing meal with the fully equipped kitchen.
Downstairs you will find the laundry room, media room with pull-out couch and wet bar, along with the second bedroom equipped with a Queen Bed, walkout patio and adjacent bathroom, as well as the third bunk bedroom which has a Twin over Double bunk bed and ensuite bathroom.

This home provides access to the golf course as an unaccompanied guest of the owner (renters may play as many as six rounds for $175 per round).
THINGS TO NOTE: The HOA has rules in place pertaining to hours of work, noise, etc. however some nuisance may be expected.

PLACER COUNTY STR ORDINANCE: Placer County requires we inform you of the rules and regulations relevant to your home's Short Term Rental Permit. These policies are strictly enforced and fines from the county ranging from $1,500 - $5,000 can be issued to guests for each violation.
PARKING: All cars must be parked in the garage and/or driveway. Parking on the street is prohibited at all times.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the agreement.
QUIET HOURS: (9PM – 8AM) No sound from the vacation rental home shall be audible from the parcel line during this time. Noise shall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance, disturbance or nuisance to neighbors.
LIGHTS OUT: All exterior lights that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors must be turned off between the hours of 10pm-7am, seven days a week.
RED FLAG WARNINGS: Due to extreme wildfire danger all outdoor wood or charcoal burning is prohibited, including open wood burn pits, bonfires, campfires, and charcoal grills. Do not bring personnel grills or portable fireplaces. When a National Weather Service Red Flag Warning is in effect for the geographical area where the short-term rental is located, all sources of outdoor open flame (including gas/propane/pellet BBQs) are prohibited. It is your responsibility to be informed of Red Flag Warnings. You will see signs on the front of all fire district stations, hear about it on the news, see it on social media and hear about it on the radio.
TRASH: Please keep our bears safe by properly storing and disposing of trash. Do not leave food unattended in your cars our outside for any reason. Trash should be disposed of in the bear-proof trash receptacles located within the properties garage.
Very clean and nice
This is a very nice home in an area of Schaffer's Mill that is quite nice. The home is well-appointed and stocked. Pros: Top of the line kitchen, great floor plan, very well furnished. Cons: the second bedroom could really use a king size bed rather than a queen, the hot water (tankless) was a bit temperamental (took a long time to get hot), and there is a fan motor of some sort that cycles continuously, creating a pretty loud hum that was annoying. This could be heard at all times in the family room and downstairs bedrooms. I encourage the owner to find a solution to this problem.
House is gorgeous with private spaces for everyone. Well stocked kitchen. Gym and pool area were perfect for the non skiers. 20 minutes from Northstar Village. Be mindful of traffic beginning around 3 pm on 267. It’s very congested! We will definitely come back to this property in the future!
Spacious and good location overlooking creek/golf course. Well stocked with everything. Club house was nice and staff very friendly. Thermostat had a mind of it's own (got too hot or cold) but we were able to manage.
This location and house is amazing. Great proximity to Truckee and Northstar. The house was fully stocked. High end everything. Kids loved sledding in the back yard. We could never afford to buy a place in this resort but renting this house gave us a taste of the good life. :). The clubhouse was great. We enjoyed drinks on their heated patio with our dog. The staff was so friendly and treated us like we lived here. Great food too. I highly recommend this house. We will be back if it isn’t completely booked. Brandon and Jennifer
we rent often in tahoe - typically at northstar, though this was our first time in Schaeffer Mill. the place was bigger than northstar properties, really well appointed and super clean. really nice view as well and easy enough to get to northstar. would definitely stay again!
