Fairhope, Alabama
Fairhope is an eclectic historic small town on the Alabama coast where Mainstreet drops 122 feet into Mobile Bay where sunsets are crowd pleasers. Flowers and big oak trees are everywhere and walking to shops and restaurants are common. Art walks occur from Spring to Fall, with the over 300,000 in attendance to the Annual Arts and Crafts Festival in March. We stayed here for our annual mother/daughter trip. The home was beautiful & had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable & everything was very clean. The house is out in the country so it is nice & quiet and only about 10-15 mins of anything we wanted to do in town. Traffic was never an issue. Spent our mornings on the front porch drinking coffee & our evenings on the back sitting area under the lights. It was the perfect location & place for our trip. The owner was very communicative & helpful. We will definitely be back.
Great property and had all the touches to make a special weekend celebrating with friends. Conveniently located close enough to downtown to enjoy our first visit to the arts and craft festival. Weather was a bit cooler, both fireplace was a great plus. Easy to communicate with owners.
The house and grounds are well-appointed and in great/new condition. The gourmet kitchen and out-door areas were of high quality and provided ease of meals and entertaining. Beds are comfortable and provided good night's sleep. The lay-out of main bedroom on opposite side of house with 2 bathrooms was optimal for privacy and comfort with additional guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I left feeling rejuvenated. Fairhope is a short 15 minute drive and Gulf Shores 30 min. away. We feasted on fresh seafood. Thanks for the wonderful stay. Would highly recommend.
This is a wonderful vacation spot! We had a very peaceful and restful stay; the house was comfortable and clean and gave the feel of a Tuscan vacation villa. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed for meal prep. The fire pit was a nice addition to our stay, and we had some wonderful fires in the evening. We fell in love with the area, the house is quietly nestled in the countryside with horses and trees all around us but was still a quick drive to Fairhope (12 min) for us to enjoy the downtown restaurants and breweries. The host was communicative and quick to respond to our questions. We really enjoyed our stay and will be booking again in the summer when we can enjoy the beaches and water more than in January.
We loved this secluded country French chateau! Right when you walk in the door it feels so cozy and homey. The amenities were perfect for our weekend stay and the house was close enough to the horse farms and downtown fairhope. We took advantage of the outdoor fire pit while drinking wine we bought in downtown fairhope. It was only two us so we stayed in the master suite which was cozy and very comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again.— next time we will take advantage of the beaches being so close! Merci for a great stay!
I found that quiet place 15 minutes from downtown Fairhope, great restaurants and my favorite antique stores. The house was so peaceful at night. We sat out by the fire pit and enjoyed the stars, kids roasted marshmallows, and just had a great time. Inside was cute. Beds were comfy and kitchen well equipped. It was not beach weather, but it is close. There is a nature preserve close by, a boat launch less than 5 miles away. I couldn’t have asked anything else. We will book this again.
