Plaidy is a stunning ground floor one bedroom apartment with a private balcony overlooking Looe Bay, harbour mouth, beach and river. On entering the property the hallway leads to the lounge kitchen diner which has fully bifold glass doors leading to the balcony. The kitchen area has white, high gloss units and timber style worktops and is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances throughout. The lounge has comfortable leather sofas, a 32 flat screen TV with DVD and CD player and surroundsound with additional speakers in the bathroom.
The real feature of this apartment is the private balcony with tinted glass panels from which the panoramic views of Looe Bay are breathtaking. Whether you choose to sit out here or enjoy the views from the dining area with the doors fully open you will not be disappointed.
The bedroom has a king-size double bed and spacious ensuite bathroom with bath and electric shower over. There is efficient gas central heating which ensures Plaidy is a comfortable place to holiday at any time of the year.
This apartment really is a little gem and is available for short breaks in addition to full weeks.
There is a reserved parking space to the rear of the building for a small sized car . There are several flights of steep steps from the parking area to the property, for those with limited mobility please read the accessibility statement in the facilities tab or contact us for further information.

    We loved this apartment. The view over the beach and the mouth of the river was stunning, and we spent much time watching the world go by. It’s just a few minutes walk to West Looe and to Hannafore. The car parking space is fine, except if you have a big car, but make sure you like steps as it’s a lofty 55 steps up to the car parking space!

    The apartment was as described, clean (except for some damp on back wall of bedroom and bath could have been cleaner). The view from the balcony was exceptional. The apartment was well equipped and very comfortable. The balcony lights when switched on fused the other apartment lights, reported this to the maintenance contact but nothing done, a small issue but worth mentioning. The only real negative was the designated parking space which is very tight to say the least and the steep steps down to the apartment from the parking space. Highly recommend you park your car on the main road approximately 100 metres further along the road. Overall an excellent base to explore Looe and the wider area of this part of Cornwall with excellent public transport (bus and train) services which we made good use of.

    We enjoyed our stay in Looe but we got off to a very bad start. The property does indeed have a car space but as we only have a normal everyday car we were unable to use it as the space is only fit for a Smart car and if the space next to the one allocated is occupied I might still struggle to use it. We were told that at the end of the car park there were steps leading to our accommodation and this is true and would have been perfect had we come without food or luggage. As we were there for the week we had to find another way in and luckily we managed to park on the main road in order to unload. None of these potential difficulties were mentioned in the description when we booked. My wife’s first reaction when faced with the potential difficulties was to want to go home. Happily we did not do this and had a pleasant stay at the apartment which apart from anything else was very nice.

    Great place to stay. We had everything that we needed. Great view of beach and estuary with a spacious balcony. Easy walk into the town. Looe has some great restaurants,we ate in a different place ever night and none of them disappointed. Smugglers Cott and the Sardine Factory were the stand outs. We will book again for sure.

    Beautiful little apartment with a stunning views, everything you need for an enjoyable stay right there. On the ‘peaceful’ West side of Looe with views of East Looe but still with a few fabulous restaurants, cafe & food kiosks. We walked everywhere but could have got a bus, land train or ferry if so inclined. Only down side was the distance & size of the parking space but having chatted to the owner in future we would use the free parking spaces on Hannafore Point just a hundred yards up the road! Much easier! We absolutely loved Looe & the apartment & can’t wait to return! Im looking at available dates already! Thank you for a most needed relaxing week away in a perfect gem of a spot!
