Fabulous gulf side and gulf view home, Aquarius on Dune Allen Beach

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is my 56th year vacationing on Dune Allen beach.....I’m very familiar with the beauty of this beach and it is one that holds many many memories from my life since my own childhood. We are now into the fourth generation of family at this beach, having stayed in dozens of rentals by dozens of extended family members.The Proctor house was rented by my aunt several summers over 30 years ago. It is reminiscent of the old style Florida beach houses built after the cinder block ones. It is a lovely and spacious house, and we enjoy the space for family meals. There are some pieces of furniture which need attention as they are a bit wobbly...tables and chairs. I personally like the antiques which furnish the house. However, if I may be honest, there is a bit too much clutter decor, seashells and personal items which disallow us to us some of the spaces....but we appreciate the size of the spaces to gather with family and friends on our trip.I would like to know if the bedspreads and the sofa covers are cleaned in between renters.....we try to respect the furnishings but I am hopeful that they are washed for each family....I would recommend this rental to others who appreciate the space it provides....PS...I am from Lafayette, La, not Baton Roige...

Great place, would recommend

Place was as advertised and worked perfectly for our 2 families and 3 kids for a total of 7 people. Beach is right there which is really all you need to enjoy your time at this property. Would definitely return.

Wonderful time. Kitchen and bedrooms were smaller than what we expected.

The property is in a great location. The cleanliness and property management are fantastic. The only issue we had was the downstairs bedroom/bathroom. It says nothing in the articles about the house, that the room is barely big enough for the bed and the bathroom being separate. You have to walk outside across the breezeway to access the bathroom. Might be ok for teenagers, but not for adults... There isn't much bedroom storage for clothing. Some of us had to live out of our bags for the week. Overall the house was great and we had a fabulous time.

We had a great stay! Location was awesome! We enjoyed the back deck & the updated bathrooms!

Stay was great, property management was fantastic and very helpful. Only complaint is the 3rd bathroom was not connected to main area and don’t think that was clearly stated. It did say it was on lower level but didn’t realize would have to go outside to get to it.

This was our second time to stay at Aquarius and we absolutely love it! It’s cozy and perfect for my family. We will definitely return!!

This was a sort of last minute trip for our family and we sure did luck out with our rental of the Aquarius property! It was absolutely wonderful. The house, beach and location were perfect for our mixed group of newlyweds and parents with teenage kids. The layout of Aquarius is perfect with each of the four bedrooms having wonderful views of the ocean and lakes and a main living area in the middle of the house. The kitchen was fully stocked with ample dishes, pots, pans, kitchen gadgets, etc. The. screened in porch had various setting options and the pier/walk way was equipped with 2 feet showers and 1full shower. Santa Rosa is a lovely beach community perfect for families. We hope to return again soon. Thank you!

The house was perfect for all of us especially the room with 2 twins (we had 2 6y/o boys). The updates a re nice and the beach access is perfect.
