This beautiful property is in an outstanding position right on the edge of Plaidy beach. It has stunning 180 degree sea views from the lounge and all the bedrooms and there is direct access to the beach via steps from the decking area. Situated a mile from Looe (approximately a 15 minute walk along the coastal path), Plaidy is a peaceful holiday location.
Set out over three floors the middle floor houses the kitchen and lounge/diner. The lounge has a 42 flat screen TV with surround soundand DVD, Wi-Fi access and iPhone docking station. There are patio doors leading from the lounge/diner to the decking from where you can enjoy the fantastic sea views. Outside there is ample storage for kayaks, inflatables etc. and patio furniture.
On the lower floor is a tastefully decorated large double room with kingside bed and a bathroom with bath and electric shower over. There is access to the outside area at this level also. On the top floor is the twin bedroom and a beautifully appointed, large double bedroom again with king-size bed. Both rooms have French Doors to a shared balcony which has 180 degree views across Looe Bay. Also at this level is a bathroom with bath and electric shower over. The property has gas central heating throughout, a garage with parking for one car and an additional parking space.
This fantastic property is fully self contained but can also be rented with the adjoining property Beachside. Beachside has also been renovated by the same owners to the same standard and it is possible to connect the accommodation and the decking areas so that a party of up to 14 can enjoy the combined space. Please note mobile reception is poor in this area - O2, Vodafone and 3 are the best options.Please see the facilities tab for further info and accessibility. Please note there is no longer a TV in the bedroom.

    My wife and I had a lovely week at Shoreside.The views from the bedroom and living room terraces was just as depicted in the advert for the house. Beautiful. Right on the beach. The kitchen was very well equipped and, like the rest of the house, was spotlessly clean. The whole house looked fresh and new. The only negative thing about the property was having to leave by nine am. As a couple we only used one bedroom from three and made very little mess during our stay so was easy to pack up and leave by nine, but we still had to pack up the night before in order to get out by nine. A family with kids would find t this difficult I feel.

    What makes this place special is the wonderful location on Plaidy Beach, five minutes from Millandreath Beach and ten minutes from Looe. We loved nothing more than sitting on the decking in the evening watching the sun go down with a glass of something cold. The information booklet was very helpful and had lots of useful tips about places to visit, eat and drink. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. The bedrooms were spacious with plenty of storage and hangers. A few comments/suggestions for the owners to consider (noting that one of our party has a spinal condition):- the mattresses were quite firm; having the option of a topper may have made a difference to sleep quality- the sofa was very low, which could prove an issue for anyone with mobility problems;- the hoover was old and not very effective!All in all we had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property by the sea in Cornwall and we will definitely return.

    While the contents and landscaping of the property could benefit from some attention, the location and proximity to beautiful Looe town made this stay outstanding. A 10 out of 10 from us and we would definitely stay again.

    Beautiful, peaceful location near Looe. Property well-kept with spacious rooms and a well-stocked kitchen. Wonderful views from the rooms and outdoor area. Great base for walks along the South West Coast Path and to stroll (over a hill) in to Looe. Owners of large vehicles may struggle with the very narrow lane access and the restricted parking outside. If staying in summer, take your own low tog duvets as the ones in the house were very warm thick duvets.
