Ezmeralda is a cozy, approximate century old bungalow containing requisite modern updates with vintage features combined seamlessly throughout. The eclectic decorating provides interesting focal points of interest throughout the structure and outdoor settings. A wonderful place to stay!

Very nice historical house. The owner put a lot of love in renovation this property. We are planning to come back.

This was our second time staying at Ezmeralda’s and are looking to book our third. Jan and Joe are terrific owners and are very accommodating. They truly know how to pamper their guests. Very relaxing and tranquil. We love Ezmeralda’s! ❤️

We all loved loved loved Jan and Ezmeralda’s! The only thing we didn’t like is we couldn’t stay longer. The home and grounds are simply gorgeous!! Jan and Joe are very accommodating and are just plain great people. If you stay here all you need are your clothes. Ezmeralda’s has everything you need and more. We have already booked again. Stayed at Ezmeraldas for a getaway weekend with my sister. The cottage was perfectly sized for two people, spotlessly clean, and was extremely well-stocked. The decor was very unique and greatly added to our enjoyment. The grounds are amazing with beautiful landscaping and wooded paths that put this place head and shoulders above the usual rentals. We enjoyed the peace and serenity of the wine shack and fire pit both nights. The location is perfect for going to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. And to top it all off, Jan is about the coolest most interesting host you could ask for. You won’t be disappointed if you book this cottage .

We had a wonderful stay at Esmeralda’s. Jan was absolutely amazing! She thought of everything. She was very accommodating and the attention to detail was fantastic. The home had so much character and was the very clean. I have told everyone I know about my experience and recommend a stay at this wonderful gem in Geneva. I will definitely be returning with my family!

Jan is “the hostess with the mostest!” My husband and I have stayed in Ezmeralda three times because it is a wonderful cottage packed with things to do for all ages. Games, puzzles, art supplies to paint projects, coloring books, etc. The house is absolutely beautiful! Jan has decorated the home with her vintage style that takes you back in time. Jan has thought of everything you could possibly have forgotten from toiletries to coffee and tea supplies. Sitting on the swing that hangs in the wine shack and making a fire in the fire pit is so relaxing. You can walk the back of her property on trails to see all of the hidden treasures Jan has put around her property. It is a beautiful and very relaxing place to stay! Jan is an absolute gem to communicate with and to help you with information to help make your stay a wonderful experience. Lake Erie is only 10 minutes from the property! We will be returning to Ezmeralda again! Wonderful host and property!

Jan was awesome! Gracious host ,so warm and friendly. She helped with learning where to go and the best winery to visit. The cottage and property were amazing, down to every last detail. You will feel like your home here . The cottage provides everything you could think of, very cozy . I definitely would love to visit again .

Two of my high school friends and I wanted to celebrate our reunion in Ohio at the wineries but were unsure of where to stay, as this was our first visit to the Geneva-on-the-Lake area. After doing some research, we came across Ezmeralda’s and could not have been happier with our choice. Jan and Joe both extended warm hospitality and their cottage could not have been nicer. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and Jan’s creativity and attention to detail was nothing short of amazing! We hope to come back again soon and will highly recommend this property to other friends and family.

What a magical spot! Calming and quiet outside spaces perfect to relax and enjoy nature. The grounds are very well designed . The cottage is super cute and the interior has so many little special touches. We stayed over a very hot weekend in July and the house was perfectly cool and comfortable. Absolute Delight!

Our stay was amazing! Jan was the best host we have ever encountered. She made sure our stay was amazing great. She went above and beyond to ask us if we needed anything every day and gave us really good recommendations for wineries and coffee. I would recommend this property to everyone.

My daughters and I have stayed here previouisly and just love it. Quiet, lots of fresh air, and the Wine Shack! Nicely stocked too. Not to mention the location. Perfect for geting around. and Jan is the absolue best!

extremely clean and wonderfully designed. the space is so well thought out and prepared intentionally. The towels and bed linens are cotton! this is becoming so hard to find with rentals, microfiber (plastic) is so common now, to the point I bring my own sheets when I travel, so relieved I don't have to do that here. no nasty foam beds either, they are regular mattresses, on the firm side but I slept really well. it is beyond cozy, and there are so many lovely touches, reading materials, resources, and outlets for creativity.

Beautiful home and property, as well as hosts. Second time here and planning next trip. Everything you could possibly want or need in a perfect location. The interior is warm and welcoming. The gardens and firepit area are inspiring. There are lots of things to do nearby, but we came to relax and recharge and I feel better than I have in months.

We couldn't have found a better place to stay! Everything is decorated with love. Jan is sweet and couldn't have been a better host! We did a weekend of wineries....all very close!

Excellent location in proximity to Spire, restaurant and stores. The house was very nicely finished and provided a great place to relax and prepare our own meals. Very quiet neighborhood.

I hesitate to write this review because I actually don’t want anybody else to know about this amazing magical little bungalow.I went in February to go to my sons Swim Meet at Spire sports facility. I really just needed a place to lay my head for a few days in between going to watch swimming. As luck would have it I stumbled upon Esmeralda's. And when I walked in, I met Jan.. I was immediately taken by her peaceful nature, her kindness and the way she made me feel at ease as a solo traveler this past weekend.. upon entering her bungalow. It was instantly clear that I had stepped into a magical little house. It had everything I needed extremely clean and a step back in time to when little details mattered. I plan to go there many more times and even though there are things I didn’t see in Ohio sitting in her little cottage/bungalow was a kind of peace that our busy days don’t allow for. Thank you, Jan. I will be back and it was so nice to meet you.

Very nice property enjoyed relaxing by the fire at the wine shack great company and host

We went in October experiencing beautiful fall colors all through the woods at the back of this property. There are trails to meander, a swing in a wine shed, stocked with candles, wood for the fire pit. So have fun bringing your own wine (or marshmallows) The house itself is absolutely charming. Very nostalgic with a beautifully updated 1920 something feel, AND with all the amenities we have grown to need - fully equipped kitchen, great selection of books, games and even art supplies. Five stars for sure!

Everything about our stay was great! Jan thought of every detail. The house has so many amazing pieces of art, trinkets and antiques. The house is a short drive to the strip and wineries.

There were 4 of us just getting away to enjoy some relaxation away from home. We all had a fabulous time Jan gave us good suggestions as to places we should go and we did and had a great time. She was the perfect host and had an absolutely beautiful property.

Ezmarelda's was a perfect spot for a 2 night stay as we transitioned to being empty-nesters. The house itself is charming and though small, had every single thing we could have come up with needing. The treasure for us is the outside, especially the wine shed overlooking three acres of beautifully landscaped woods that visitors can explore. Jan, the owner, is a delight and not only is extremely responsive, she anticipated what we needed. All of her recommendations for local attractions were spot on. We can't wait to come back.

I stayed at this location while my daughter was spending a weekend at Spire Institute. The place was phenomenal. Absolutely gorgeous and relaxing. So many minor details throughout. Lot of history within this bungalow and the views around the gardens and sheds are breathtaking. Close enough to walk to restaurants. Jan and Joe were wonderful hosts! Will stay here again!

A Gem of a cottage , very welcoming front porch and purple door- my fav! We had a walk around with the owner.Jan when we first arrived. She showed us around and gave us a tour. All the amenities were included and that was a perk! The whole place was so very clean, I do not take cleanliness lightly, so this was so refreshing. ( My standards are high- and this home met them all!) Kitchen appliances, cookware, silverware/ dishware were perfect. I have stayed in many VRBO’s and finding utensils to cook is usually a challenge. Not here!!I felt so at home. Jan has made a creative , light filled aura with vintage/ antique and artwork pieces throughout the comfy space.

We stayed here for our 30th anniversary and boy am I glad that we did! The property is stunning. So relaxing, I felt right an ease. Everything you may need, Jan has supplied it and more. The first night I had a soak in the claw foot bath tub. So relaxing! Jan had all the soaking supplies you would need and more. I spent every morning at the outside table with coffee in hand watching the birds and looking at beautifully landscaped yard. The basement is a parents and kids dream. All kinds of neat things to do including panting Now.. for the wine shack. My FAVORITE place to be. Jan supplied fire wood, candles and just an awesome, relaxing place to sit and take in the beautiful woods.and fire. I hope to post pictures. On the evening of our anniversary. Jan had cut fliers from her garden he the wine sack and made sure there plenty of candles. Not to mention bug spray. Just in case. There was a storm one night and there was many options on the tv to watch a movie. I went directly to Netflix The only other app I used was pandora. But it’s all there at your finger tips. Jan is awesome and she has created a beautiful relaxing place to just get away from everything and just enjoy the beauty of nature

Esmeraldas is like walking into a little bit of heaven. It is in perfectly perfect. The house is Cozy and decorated so nicely. The garden shed is a special place too have coffee and the yard is unbelievable. Plus it’s a short walk to the downtown area, coffee and rest.
