We had trouble with the heated pool, which we paid an extra 500 for. We messaged them on Monday and never recieved communication until Friday. Also we couldn't use the TV by the hot tub since it was on a different wifi which we did not get the password to. There were 2 broken faucets and the grill was disgusting and onky 2 burners worked..we communicatec thos all through email and never got a response.

Overall, the location of the vacation home was fine. The trek to the beach was not ideal but we did it. The view from the top two floors were great! However, the accommodation itself fell short of our expectations. The house could have been cleaner, the furnishings were outdated and not as luxurious as we had anticipated for the price paid. The kitchen lacked some basic utensils and food prep items that would have made cooking easier. Additionally, there were issues with one of the Dishwashers and the kitchen sink faucet but having the second dishwasher we didn't have an issue, which the property management promptly addressed but was not fixed during our stay. The service provided by the property manager was friendly and responsive, which was a positive aspect of our experience. However, considering the premium price we paid for this rental, we expected more in terms of amenities and overall comfort. In summary, this home was extremely basic for the the price we paid. Unfortunately, we won't consider this home in the future for our annual family vacation.

We very much enjoyed our stay. I gave it 4 stars because the volume on the television in the living room did not work and the hot tub needed added water to function properly. Also the yard was full of painful sand burs that got in our dogs feet every time she went ootside.

This property as listed is a beautiful home in Salvo. The ocean and surrounding scenery are gorgeous! The house is exceptional in providing the right number of bedrooms for our family. We had such a good and memorable vacation. That being said there are a number of items in the home that could use an update. It is sad that the home is in need of the loving care that a home like this should receive. There was an infestation of cockroaches. It was so bad that my 3rd grade grandson shared it in his vacation report at school! The appliances could use an update. There were two dishwashers in the beautiful kitchen but the one on the right was broken. There were pieces laying in the top of it. The refrigerators had a number of missing shelves in the doors and could use an update. The other things I can list in a letter to Shore Details as I am sure they would like to know so they have an opportunity to fix them. Thank you so much for a beautiful vacation.

The location was perfect, but the cleanliness of the house was disappointing. In addition, there was a lack of typical amenities like hand soap in all of the bathrooms. In addition, it would’ve been thoughtful to have beach chairs and umbrellas available for guests for free given the amount of money spent on the house.

Perfect for you and your extended family. The furniture, inside and out as well as the decor was in excellent condition and provided such a warm nautical vibe. Music by the pool, awesome game room and amazing top floor nighttime star gazing! OBX - Salvo perfection.

Well appointed beautiful home just as shown in photos. Pet friendly and a great house for a large, multi-generation family. Tons of room and great spaces for family entertainment.

The beach house was beautifully decorated, great size for our group of 10, including 4 grandsons. The multi-level living space gave plenty of room to spread out and enjoy various activities. The kitchen was very large and spacious fitting us with room to spare for games, dining, cooking, or just hanging out. The entertainment area was a nightly favorite for tournament video game races as well as the billard room. The beds and pillows were very comfortable! Things management need to consider: include more dish towels, supply a pizza cutter, more mixing bowls, storage containers, and better knives. Maintenance/Repairs needed: ceiling air conditioning vents all drip and have water damage. The refridgerator knob is broken, set to high and freezes food. The lights around the pool did not work due to a bad breaker. A call for maintanence was made but no one came to fix. Cleanliness: Generally it was good, but some things overlooked. Items under a bed, dog poop in the yard, cupboards/drawers needing wiping out and general disorganization in all cupboards-drawers.
