Exclusive mountain home, close to skiing & hiking area near Schladming-Dachstein

This property is located in an incredible natural setting, which you can fully engage with from the property thanks to the decks surrounding the house on two sides, and the large windows overlooking the Dachstein mountains on the first floor (kitchen and living space). The house itself is as the pictures show - modern-alpine style. Practical insights: 1) the house is perfect for two families traveling with children. There are four bedrooms in total, two that work for adults, while the other two bedrooms are small (with three beds) and no ensuite bathroom. 2) you are located about 10-15 mins by car from Schladming. Taxi services are available (in our case at short notice). 3) the owners did not overcomplicate check-in/check-out and were responsive in all communications. 4) this is the sort of house where the cupboards are full rather than empty. If you happen to have forgotten some olive oil or dishwasher tabs, you'll likely find some there. 5) the lifts in Pichl and the Reiteralm are the closest to the house, and parking (during the busiest week of the year) was never an issue. 6) there are now two loungers on the deck.

Enjoyed staying in this magnificent mountain villa, very well equipped and close to all outdoor activities one can think of. Spacious and comfortable, beautiful views from all windows and balcony.

I've been asked to provide feedback - I usually don't bother, but here I do: I give five stars. Why? This property did no fall short on any of our high expectations regarding style, quality, location and space. For skiers: You drive 5 mins to Preunegg base station, where you have access to all 4 mountains. A perfect stay - thanks for having us.

We were a group of 8 adults and we had a wonderful time at Ferdi Mountain Base. Communication and check in were easy. The house is very well equipped (great for cooking), clean and beautiful. It is the perfect place to relax after a day out skiing, hiking etc. Plus you can enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains.

The house was exactly as described. Everything brand new. We have enjoyed the oven and the sauna. Everything was very nice. Only one very small remark: watching tv is a bid uncomfortable as the tv is in the back of the sofa. We really looking to come back.

We stayed 1 week 6 adults and 6 children in the house in summer and everything was gorgeous. The house is like brand new just in front of the forest and sightseeing the Planai and Reiter All Mountain all the time in front of the house and the Dachstein in the back. You have also good forest running paths just beside the house. Everything worked perfectly in the house and the living room/kitchen is very cozy and with a very good scenery. Our kids spent a very good time. There are also toys in the house and they could play down in the forest on their own. Dachstein, Rittisberg, Planai, Wilde Wasser, Supermarkets are very closed so the house has an ideal location.

This comfortable, pristine lodge was a delight for our family of seven. The house is luxuriously equipped and very spacious. We spent five days hiking and enjoying the warm summer sunshine. There are a wealth of activities in the area and many good restaurants and mountain huts for hearty meals. The owners are conscientious about the condition of the home and the comfort of their guests, not to mention dedicated to helping everyone enjoy this beautiful part of Austria.
