29 Pelham Street is located in one of the most sought after locations in Newport on historic Pelham St. You are a five minute walk to famous Newport landmarks such as: Bannisters & Bowens Wharf, Trinity and St. Mary's Church and The Black Pearl Restaurant. Truly, you are in the heart of it all with dozens of restaurants, shops, bars and sights right outside your door.

Hop in your car for a 10 minute drive to both the Ocean Drive and Bellevue Avenue Preservation Society Mansions.



Windward Suites properties are all keyless, and instead use keypad smart locks for all of the doors for both the buildings and units. All guests will receive an email the morning of their arrival with the instructions, codes to the doors and Wifi. Super easy!

Check-in time is anytime after 3:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Please be respectful of these times unless you have contacted us, as we have a cleaning crew who need the time to do a thorough job before and after all of our guests.

Parking is located behind the building with two spaces alongside the building as well. There is one space allocated per room.

Ultra-walkable Historic Spring Street downtown Newport RI—no car required! Thames Street hotspots, restaurants, shops, wharfs, and attractions are 5 minutes on foot. Street parking passes or nearby lots (ask host). Uber/Lyft/taxis plentiful; bike rentals close for easy rides. RIPTA buses nearby for regional trips; trolley tours for sightseeing. Nearest Amtrak in Kingston, RI (~20 min drive); T.F. Green Airport (PVD) ~30-40 min. You're set for beaches, mansions, events—pure freedom to explore!

29 Pelham Street is a truly unique property. It is modern and fully updated Boutique Inn meaning, there are common areas which all guests have access to and can use at their leisure, including the living room, dining room, and kitchen, office, and deck.

However, it also boasts six private bedrooms, each with their own ensuite bathroom, as well as one two bedroom suite, also with an ensuite bathroom. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, some coming equipped with pull out sofa beds, and the renovated bathrooms all have glass walk-in showers.

This is a dog friendly property with parking for seven cars. The entire building was recently upgraded to mini splits in each room. Cleanliness is our top priority as well as providing guests with high end linens, towels and toiletries.

    The house was perfect for a large family gathering. Every family has their own unit, the units were private and quiet. The house had a nice gathering area when we all wanted to be together. And the location in downtown Newport was the best. We were in walking distance to the action. I would stay here again.

    We rented the entire house which was beyond perfect for the group of 13 we had! Each room was spacious, had it's own updated bathroom, and there were plenty of common areas to congregate in. The hosts were extremely communicative and accommodating. 5 stars!

    Couldn’t have asked for a better location for downtown Newport. It was very conveniently located and within walking distance to all of the hot spots. The place itself was very clean, well-kept, and spacious. We had a big group and it fit all guests more than comfortably. We had a great time and would love to stay again in the future!

    I booked the house for my husband’s surprise 60th. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed and the bedrooms were spacious with great beds and beautiful bathrooms. You can’t put a price on parking in Newport, so having spots for all of our guests was amazing! We also walked everywhere… to the cliff walk, to the mansions, to the restaurants, and to the bars! The location couldn’t be better.

    The property is lovely, and the location is great. Unfortunately, we had numerous things go wrong with our stay. We rented the entire property for a large family gathering that included an elderly person. We had several issues that had a major impact on our use of the building: 1. No heat in the entire upstairs, 4 bedrooms were unusable during our stay. 2. There is a dangerous step in the kitchen that is not well marked that caused an elderly person in our group to fall. 3. Little to no running water in the kitchen faucet. We had a large family and cooked in a lot. I brought all of these issues to the host's attention in an email on 11/20 and requested a portion of my stay be refunded. The host has had my request under review for over two weeks.
