Cabin at Oaks Village
101 Bud Drive
Lynchburg, VA 24502
The Cabin at Oaks Village is located 2 miles from LU campus but feels like country living. With scenic views of the LU Medical Building and the Lynchburg Regional Airport, you will enjoy sipping morning coffee in the bright sunroom or patio. At dusk, enjoy the wildlife that arrives in the neighboring fields to eat and play.
Inside you will find a living room with the original log walls. The sofa opens to a queen size bed. This room was the extent of the original home in the early 1900's. There is one nice size bedroom with queen bed. The large country kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals so you can avoid the crowds at the local restaurants. The kitchen table seats four comfortably and there is a card table and four folding chairs for larger dinner gatherings. The kitchen opens into a small den with Cable TV. Also off the kitchen is the bathroom/laundry room with full size washer and dryer. The beautiful sunroom is furnished with wicker chairs--a great place to read and sip coffee in the mornings. Off the sunroom is the deck, complete with table, umbrella and chairs--another great place to relax!
Free Wifi!
The Cabin has a ductless heating and air conditioning system for those hot humid days in late summer. However, the 100+ year old oak trees on the property, provide ample shade and there is seldom a day without a nice breeze. Open the windows, enjoy the fresh air and just RELAX!
The setting for this little home was absolutely stunning. We felt like we were in a very rural area, but with the added bonus of having access to restaurants, shopping etc. The cabin was impeccably clean and sparkling...a lot of thought was given to the provisions within. We will be returning.
I liked the layout of the home….very nice view….very quiet……But there were quite a few crickets popping up here and there inside the house
This was such a peaceful place! It was extremely clean and comfortable too.
We had a great time at this lovely little cabin. Everything was spotless and it was very peaceful.
A hidden oasis down a small lane. The cabin was much bigger than we expected and had everything plus!!! Super clean and easily accessible from everywhere. Peaceful, quiet and so relaxing.
We loved this cottage and had a great visit in Lynchburg! We will definitely be recommending and planning to stay again!
The quaint historic cabin has been beautifully updated. Surrounding property was peaceful and calming.
We have stayed in this lovely home several times. Every time it has been wonderful. Very clean and wonderful hosts.
Our family enjoyed our time at the cabin! Beautiful, peaceful, cozy and such excellent attention to detail! We can’t wait to come back!
I was looking for a peaceful spot to stay for a long weekend in Lynchburg and found it! Quiet pastoral setting is a perfect description for this cabin. The location was in a quiet neighborhood yet was only 5 minutes from a store or restaurant. It was neat, clean and had all the amenities you might need for your trip away from home. We loved the sunroom and drank our morning coffee there while watching the cows. Reading the family history along with pictures gave a personal connection to the place. We would highly recommend this cabin and it will definitely be our first lodging choice if we ever need logging again in Lynchburg.
This was ideal place for us to stay on our first visit to Lynchburg! The tranquil environment, privacy of woods, spacious yard, beautiful views of hills, grazing cows, and a city in the distance were just the break we needed from the busy, big city life we are accustomed to in FL. We loved waking up to the sunrise view right in the bedroom window. The house is fully equipped with everything to make a weary traveler feel comfortable. The only (small) concern is that if you are tall, beware of the very short doorframe leading to bathroom and laundry. Not suitable for tall people! Otherwise, it was a truly remarkable experience; and with so many other options, we would choose this place again!
My wife, son, and I enjoyed our stay. The home was spotless and provided a relaxing (and cool) retreat. Easy access and close to numerous restaurants and destinations.
Little getaway away from it all but convenient to everything!
This is a very nice property. The location is out of the way, comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The gentleman who helped us fix our trailer motorcycle mount went above and beyond! You can tell the property manager takes loving care of this place. There are wonderful touches with old family photos, cows and deer in the back field and a great sunny covered porch for relaxing.
Great cozy house with lovely decor. Skunk smell in house Friday and Saturday was terrible
This place was darling, clean and well-maintained. The location is idyllic and quiet even though you are in Lynchburg proper. We adored seeing cows in the morning and listening to crickets at night. I would absolutely stay here again. If you are planning on doing cooking I would recommend communicating with the property manager ahead of time to find out what supplies are on-site. We dined out the entire time we were there.
We really enjoyed how peaceful the cabin was after a busy day out. You feel like you're in the country while still being close to everything.
The property is in a very quiet location with peaceful views of the adjoining farm. Beautiful mature trees on the property add to a in town country setting. We loved the decor inside the cabin, and it really is very well maintained.
My daughter and I stayed her for a summer camp attending at Liberty. The property was close to everything and very clean. Thanks for letting us stay.
This was a wonderful stay for me. The house is a cabin set on a beautiful piece of land. It has been restored and is clean, bright, comfortable, and furnished beautifully.
We always love our stay here. It is a lovely home!!
