The Canal Cottage is a beachy home set along a saltwater canal in Hernando Beach, Florida. We are only 15 minutes by boat to the peaceful waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Back on land, our grassy yard invites you to relax – among swaying palms, a hammock and canal views that may include dolphins. Eat al fresco as neon sunsets swirl across the sky. Or talk for hours around our fire pit.
We also have cornhole and fishing rods, plus a dock with two v-hull boat lifts (each holds 10,000 lbs).

Inside, our beachy decor makes you feel like you’re on vacation. Unwind in the living room where white and lagoon blue furnishings evoke an ocean palette. And yes! Colorful fish sculptures adorn some walls.
Our kitchen has everything you’ll need, including lots of counter space and stainless steel appliances. Plus a coffee & tea bar with K-Cup pods, tea bags, hot chocolate in winter and more. Steps away, our light-filled dining room looks out to the canal and yard. With a table that seats 8 people, it’s a great spot to play card and board games. Or enjoy quiet time with puzzles and books.
And when it’s time to call it a night, retreat to our three bedrooms for a good night’s sleep. Drift away among pastel blue and green walls, picture windows and sea-inspired bedding. This is the good life!

The convince of having a boat lift was great! You just wake up and go fishing! The house was very nice. Clean and well maintained. Great location! The AC went out one day and Terre was awesome in getting the repair company out asap. Fixed immediately! Highly recommended!!

This property is a gem! Quiet, absolutely beautiful neighborhood, right on the canal. The home has so many personalized touches, makes you never want to leave. If you are looking for outdoor living, this is the place for you! The private dock was my favorite place to be, actually watched a dolphin swim by and play in the canal! Terre was super helpful, and checked in on us via text, which was much appreciated . We loved our stay so much, we look forward to returning!
Home was exactly as described. Terr had a Christmas tree and alot of extras. Was a nice surprise. The house was very clean and roomy. We enjoyed the games and most of all the boat lift for our boat. Nice ride to the gulf. Perfect for everyone and also our doggies.
You will not be disappointed!! From the booking to checking in, Terri is incredible!! The home is so much better in person!! Lots of space and beautiful views out on the back dock!! We stayed for 9 days and had a great time...kids came out and stayed for a couple day's and we were minutes from Roger's Park for kayaking...sister came out for a day and mom and dad drove across from Daytona for a visit...all loved their stay and it is extremely well stocked...kitchen full of dishes, pots, pans, blender, coffee pot and Keurig complete with K-cups...fire wood, fishing poles and tackle box...corn hole boards...loads of towels pillows and blankets...host welcome note and snack basket made it welcoming and felt like home away from home ❤ will definitely be back was absolutely nothing not to like...Silver Dolphin minutes up the road awesome breakfast spot!!! Sure I missed something - worth every penny ❤
Just amazing! The house and the host were amazing. Big, beautiful , clean home. Awesome quite neighborhood. Terre and her family were so helpful and hospitable. Absolutely loved staying here. Loved fishing and crabbing right off the back deck. My family made great memories in this house. You won't be disappointed with a stay at Reel Serenity!
We brought our boat up for scalloping season and had a blast. The house was tidy and very tastefully decorated. Also, the home was stocked with everything we needed for home cooked meals, barbecues, and keeping our boat on the lift. We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again.
