Great location, just off of the main st.
We loved this Vrbo property in Chincoteague! It was in a perfect location - 1 block from restaurants yet nice and quiet street. The house was even better in person - has the charming details of an older home but with updated renovation. Lots of room for multiple generations including 4 large bedrooms and 4 living areas. Kitchen was really well appointed with everything you need. We will stay here again!
Have been going to Chincoteague since I was a child, and wanted to share the experience with my kids. This was the best home! The house is clean, easy to access, and great for a small or large group. Multiple living spaces, including 2 bedrooms, sitting area, and full bath upstairs. The back porch is amazing, we spent a lot of time there. The outdoor shower is great after the beach (and has hot water!). Wish we had stayed longer as we didn’t have time to enjoy the fire pit. Easy walking to coffee shops, restaurants, and downtown stores. Quick drive or bike to the beach. The owner was easy to communicate with, easy to coordinate linens. Can’t wait to come back!
Location was perfect, the house is as advertised. Working with owner was easy and responsive.
We (6 adults and 1 child) had plenty of room to come together or have some time apart. The bedrooms were very nice sized and there were 2 eating areas. The on-site washer and dryer came in handy. The sunroom was great. We had a great time and would rent this property again.
It was a good location and a very nice house.
This was a really cute and organized house. Close to all the things we wanted to see and do. We did experience a leaky ceiling and a leaky downstairs toilet but, the property manager was very quick to respond and assist us so there was no inconveniece.
Everything went smoothly. The upstairs is especially pleasant and it was easy for two families to have their own space.
This is an amazing home - everything was neat and clean ! The location is excellent, we walked each morning to a coffee shop. The home is nicely decorated and very well kept. Loved the outdoor shower also. Debbie Stevens was great to work with! You won't be disappointed if you stay here! Thanks!
My wife and I rented the cottage for a week in mid-May and were joined, partly, by my parents. It was a peaceful stay made idyllic by the wonderful setting. Mornings began with coffee/tea in the screened porch where we viewed White Ibises and Gulls foraging the backyard. Evenings found us in the family/living room relaxing with wine and a movie/game. The cottage is expansive, tastefully appointed, and with ample appliances and amenities necessary for cooking. Bedrooms and baths on both floors allowed each couple to maintain their privacy. The separate thermostats/ACs on each floor was ingenious. The island is lovely and encompasses various habitats; everyone we encountered was welcoming. Most places are a short walk/quick drive. For example, Island Foods Great Valu, Whiteraven's Nest Farmers Market, and Dollar General were all within 3 minutes of the cottage. We divided our days between the shore and the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, with stops at numerous shops, points of interest, and a few restaurants. We saw ~3 dozen of the famous ponies, numerous other types of wildlife, and collected some interesting shells. Sunday brunch at Bill's was very hearty and the Island Creamery delicious! The only drawback we encountered was cleanliness. Experience would indicate a cleaning company habit rather than a one-off instance of being short on time before a guest's arrival. Granted, we are fastidiously tidy, but I have no doubt we left the cottage cleaner than we found it. While arrival appearance indicated cleaning, we soon found ourselves clearing small crumbs from the fridge/freezer, wiping down the exterior of the washer and dryer (located in the garage) and cleaning both the fabric softener insert and lint trap, removing a large amount of dry oatmeal from the perimeter floor areas of the family room, as well as dust and cobwebs from under the TV stand, and wiping down the interiors of all garbage bins. Thorough, routine vacuuming would also likely reduce the amount of Camel Crickets and spiders we encountered and promptly dispatched. None of the above, however, would prevent us from renting the cottage and returning again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Debbie was a wonderful asset to our booking. She was friendly, prompt, and communicative, answering all of our questions and providing excellent local tips. We look forward to our return!
